thanks for the link.. because I typed WDW Magic in the crappy facebook search engine and couldn't find the page..
maybe the owners of this site could list it in a place easier to find.. like .. Hey JOIN US ON FACE BOOK>. type of thing..
I joined immediately..
Yeah, it's just a fanpage. I don't think Steve has anything to do with it.The owner of this site is not the administrator/owner of the facebook page.
The page also does not see much action from what I have observed.
One thing I think being on FB can do is draw eyes to articles/threads when the user might not think to check here frequently on their own. There isn't currently a facebook page for WDWMAGIC. Just out of interest, what do you see as the benefits of one?
One thing I think being on FB can do is draw eyes to articles/threads when the user might not think to check here frequently on their own.
As an example, I'm a FB "fan" of the official WDW and DL blog profiles, as well as some news and politics sites I like. I might not remember to check those sites very frequently on my own, but when I see a story in my News Feed that interests me, I'll click the link and check it out. Basically I'm always on FB, so having those sites plug their updates there brings the content straight to me.
If you decided to start an official profile, you might use it to plug big announcements on the news portion of the site, or discussion threads that are especially noteworthy (like Lee's info about the FLE a few weeks ago). I don't know if it would bring more traffic, but I suspect it might if you have "casual" users who are willing to take a second to become a fan on FB.

Yeah! It would be really cool. I am a fan of the unofficial one and I have been for a while. Here is an example of Realityblurred dot com's official facebook page works.
The guy who runs the site posts the headline on Facebook and a link in the update to direct you to the article on the actual site. I find this very helpful because a lot of sites don't have a mobile app version of their site for Android. And WDWmagic is a prime example of this. Having WDWmagic on Facebook would increase the likelihood of getting knowledge faster and would obviously gain TONS ore users and readers to the site. I 100% welcome the idea...especially as seeing how non iPhone users get no love.
Thanks, Steve. I have officially 'like'd it.
