Well, I think the face characters themselves are very cute. Perhaps with more alterations they will resemble their animated partners. But I wouldn't in a million years have guessed who they were. In fact if I'd seen them in the park, I'd probably be wondering, what the heck is with those two and those too-legit-to-quit MC Hammer pants? :lookaroun

 oh man MC Hammer...so true though

I just called my daughter over to the computer, showed her the picture(without showing her the thread name) and asked her if she knew who they were. She said "Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable." And now she is hoping to see them when we go. She is 8 and watches Kim Possible all the time.

Probably would have politely advised them that this wasnt Universal......

Eh, I think they did a pretty decent job. Would I immediately recognize them as Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable? Eh, probably not; though I really haven't had much exposure to the show outside of the merchandise.

I think the problem of "looking like a couple of regular park guests in big pants" stems from the fact that they pretty much dress incognito. Whereas other characters have ball gowns, superhero costumes, and other highly visible things not normally seen outside of the Disney parks, Kim and Ron are secret agents, which means that they dress in a style that attracts as little attention as possible--and this has been carried over into the meet and greet characters.

What's the sitch? KP and Ron Stoppable are now at the Studios! FYI, for those wondering why Ron has brown hair and not blonde, KP took Ron to some new hair salon to change his look so he could get all the chicks. Unfortunately, Ron wasn't too crazy about the change and should be going back to blonde very soon! Enjoy!

Personally, I think they did a better job with Ron, except for the hair color...Kim looks, well, too old.

Off subject, in the first pic, is that person in the background getting ready to walk into the facad???

When Ron and Kim visited DCA last year, Ron had Rufus in his pocket to keep him around. I would post pix, but I only had a disposable camera with me, and not my digi :(

Not only that... but the princesses, etc. have OBVIOUS costumes. Kim and Ron's costumes look more like street clothes... If I saw them walking through the park I might not even realize they were characters...

*shrug*

That's exactly what I was thinking.... we might not catch that they were charcaters unless there was a line....

Showed my kids the pics and they were excited, thought it was cool to have them. I like that they are Face, more interaction, more natural for those characters.

Disney, fix the hair, SOON!

I think it looks horrendous. Why in the world are they putting KP in there anyways. She may be popular, but shes from the disney channel, if they're gonna add her shouldnt they add some other TV shows from DC. Atleast thats what alot of kids may think. Alot of kids may wonder right past not knowing who the ______ they are.

I just showed my DD(6) the picture and she knew it was Kim and Ron, but she wanted to know where Rufus was--you know Mom, the naked mole-rat...

Just had to share,
Dawn

they have... jojo and goliath.... the power rangers.... the entire playhouse disney live show... all from disney channel or other television subsidiaries of disney...

u gotta think... if we wanna see more of our favorite disney channel characters, maybe we should try to support what we are given... otherwise, disney might get the msg that we arent interested in meeting any of the characters from disney channel...

adding also: alot of ppl keep saying that disney could do better on these... but what... already mentioned the upcomng mods to the hair... and already explained the missing rufus in the pic... wat is missing? aside from the debate btw face/plastic...r u simply stating dis coulda done better "casting"... or is there somethig i am missing? how would u suggest "fixing" these costumes... i cant see much of a mistake in any of the design. sure kim and ron do look like normal ppl... but they ARE normal ppl.. "shes ur basic average girl (and shes here to save the world)". thats accuracy in my eyes. maybe if they give them a personal backdrop... otherwise, thats really all that i can say should be altered.. its all in the way the performers pull them off from that point.

but maybe im a little biased.

I agree with KanePreston 100%, and I personally think they are fantastic. The costumes are spot on accurate, in color, shape, and style compared to the animated picture of them. And I for one agree that if all the kids instantly can recognize them, then that is all that matters. Face, was the correct path to take with these characters. I can't wait to see them interacting with the guests in park.

Ugh.

When Disney had good animated shows(*cough* Gargoyles) why did they not have them as characters in the parks?

On the other hand, I definately wouldn't mind Dave the Barbarian!
