It's not advised..... They can only stop you if you are heavily pregnant or showing a lot...but still...i wouldn't advise it.

I think it would depend on how far along you are during the trip. I went to the world when I was 13 weeks pregnant and rode everything. I did ask my doctor first, and she said that early on there would be no problems. I say ask your own doctor as well, but if they say they see no problem with it, then go ahead and ride the rides you want (FYI I had a very healthy happy boy 6 months after that trip!) Truthfully, you have more of a chance of something happening because of a bumpy car ride (seeing that you most likely are in a car every day of your pregnancy) , or the take off and landing while on board a plane than you would of something happening on pooh, or splash mountain.

...Well, no...not really. It's not rare that you get bumped on things like splash mountain now is it?

I have no idea what you are "well, no...not really"-ing.

You are correct that it is not rare to get bumped around on Splash. Where did I say that it was rare?

Because you said you have more of a chance to get bumped in a car ride.... That's not true is it!

No. I did not say that. Read it again. I wrote that something would be more likely to happen during the 100's of bumpy car rides you would have while pregnant (dependant on where you live, I had frost heaves and dirt roads to contend with) than would happen during a ride on Pooh or Splash (clearly both these rides are bumpy).

To the OP, I also wanted to mention that other than rides, listen to your body when you get tired, or when you aren't feeling well. Take the time to sit back and relax rather than push yourself to go go go every day! Along with riding anything I wanted, I also took some time to do alot of people watching and enjoy shows that we normally would skip over in favor of riding another ride (and afternoon naps were a must for us!)

It sounds like you're saying a an actual car, that is all. Don't get offended, i was just making sure its clear so she doesn't go on the rides and hurt her baby.

As an ex-cast member. Read the warning signs posted outside every attraction. If they suggest you not ride if your are expecting then don't. Test Track and Splash are one of the ones that suggest you not ride. The same with Kilimanjaro Safaris. There are reasons you shouldn't ride, meaning women have had problems. Don't chance it. I went when I was pregnant and wasn't able to ride certain rides and had a great time. I was happy to sit out those rides knowing I had my little one on the way. It made me feel special. Always ask your doctor too.

I'm not going to suggest that I *know* where there is a huge threat or not. I'll respond from experience.

My wife went to WDW pregnant twice. Once when she was 2 1/2 months pregnant, and once around 6 months. She rode whatever she felt comfortable riding, taking into account advice from doctors, warning signs, and her own instincts. When she was 6 months, Kilamanjaro Safaris was problem the most "thrilling" ride she went on. But at 2 1/2 months, the only things she skipped were Mission:Space, Everest, and RnRC. I was freaked out when she rode Test Track, but she was not worried at all. And she had no problems at all.

So, my advice....if you're at all worried, skip it. The risk is probably extremely low, but why risk it? You can come back to WDW another time and tell your husband he has to sit out the ride watching the healthy, happy baby because you already had your turn sitting it out!

I'm sure these boards are not the best place to get medical advice.

Simply my opinion, but why risk it? Maybe it's a 0.01% risk of something happening, but if you are in that 0.01%, wouldn't you be devastated?

Well yes, I am saying an actual car. I am not offended (why would I be?) I am even more confused than before now

My wife and I went to the World when she was 9 months pregnant in 2010. We took it slow, ate a lot (since morning sickness was over :hurl:) and just did the rides that she felt safe doing. The only ride we did that had warnings against expecting moms was Kilimanjaro Safari. Our son is 13 months old and very healthy and very happy. And ready for his first, -scratch that- second trip to Disney in two weeks.

We went nuts over looking for advice before our 2010 trip and the best advice we found was to err on the side of caution, listen to your gut and just slow down and relax. Take in the overlooked aspects of WDW and remember that there will be other chances to go on Space Mountain, Rockin Rollercoaster and Test Track.

I will preface this by saying; Ask your doctor.

That being said, my wife and I went with my cousin and her husband when she was three months pregnant. She rode every ride (except Mission: SPACE because he doesn't like it) and her kid turned out fine.

It sounded like you were saying you have MORE of a chance getting hurt in a car then on a ride is what i'm saying, and that isn't true.

Anyway... Whatever. This is irrelevant now.
