I am going to Disney in July with my mom. She has only been there twice in her live time.I need some help picking out a resort. I am down to four and now I am stuck. Money is not an option. It's down to Boardway Inn, Beach Club, POFQ, and Wilderness Lodge.

My mom has stayed at CBR and POR, but I take her somewhere differnet. Any advice would be wonderful or even a pro and con list of the resorts. We would like the self service refillable mugs, but that not a big deal.

All of the hotels have the self serve mugs, but some you have to take a minor trip to refill.

Out of your four choices I have stayed at two - The Boardwalk Inn...very nice, but very spread out. What we did not like about it was it is very large, all of the restaurant choices were out on the boardwalk (and my family only liked 2 of them). To buy and refill your mug you had to wander out to the Bakery (can also be checked at the pool bar) so I couldn't let my youngest go by herself. Another thing was that all of the area hotels shared the bus service and they were always crowded and few and far between. A good point was the quick trip to Epcot and the Studios.

We love the Wilderness Lodge and have stayed there 10 times. Its very cozy, we love the atmosphere and the close proximity to the MK. The boat ride over (or back) is very relaxing. You can take a launch over to the Contemporary to hit the monorail. We enjoy the restaurants and feel very safe letting our kids wander the resort by themselves (though they are teens now).

I have not stayed at those 4, okay. But here goes:

I think all will have refillable mugs.

I would go with BW or BC. Since she is an adult, she will enjoy Epcot almost certainly. Both have great access to Epcot.

If she is a swimmer, go with BC.

If she is more laid back, evening stroll or night life type of person, go with BW.

Now, if she is really into architecture, interior design, and exterior landscaping, WL may be more enjoyable than the other two.

Just my opinion.

Since money is no object, I'd take POFQ off of your list. If you think you will spend alot of time at Epcot, I'd stay at the Boardwalk (personally I'd pick that over the Beach Club).
That being said, our very favorite resort is the Wilderness Lodge because of the atmosphere and the boat launch to the MK, which is where we spend most of our time (we have small kids).
If your mom is the type of person who likes to stay busy and be out at night, I'd pick the Boardwalk becuase of all the activites there. If she has a more relaxed personality and is into nature, and would like a more peacful atmosphere I'd pick the WL.
Maybe you could narrow it down to two, and then show your mom some pics on the internet and let her pick?

The WL is BEAUTIFUL! It also has a boat to the Magic Kingdom. The Beach Club, from all of the accounts I've heard, is just okay. I've never been there and can't swear how true that is. POFQ is nice, but if money is not an option I would spring for a Deluxe. I've never had an interest in the Boardwalk, but my husband has that on his list of Disney Resorts he'd like to stay at because he thinks it looks interesting and the Boardwalk itself looks fun. All resorts have the refillable mugs.

We love WL. its an amazing resort. We love the boat rides and the peaceful atmosphere. The POLY would be nice for the convenience of the monorail. hope you have a magical trip..........it will be hot so take breaks and drink lots of liquids....

If I had those choices it would be BC or BW. I just like the ambiance of them both and the pools are great. I especially like te BW at night, but BC is so close to the hub over there, though. I also like the proximity to Epcot. You can even walk in for a quick WS food tour.

:)Enjoy your trip!!

I have stayed at all four resorts and I would narrow it down to either BC or WL. I would base that decision on which park you think you will visit more, MK or Epcot. We are members at BC but I have to admit I personally like the WL more.

I am one of the few who does not care for Yacht & Beach Clubs. It just wasn't our cup of tea. We do however LOVE the Wilderness Lodge and would stay here every trip if we could afford it. It's just breath taking and relaxing. It's close to the MK, but with out the (sometimes) craziness that the monorail resorts have. We have never stayed at Boardwalk so I cannot give an opinion on it. Make sure you let us know what you decide.
