Ok I've been to Florida 4 times and 3 of those times to disney world! I went last june and i really want to go this june after my gcses! As my sister has moved out my mum said i can bring a friend, shes been looking at going back to america and staying at a disney hotel so me and my friend can get the free shuttles to parks and do what we want. But now she saying we can't really afford it  even though I know we can.
Does anyone know how i can persuade her more? As I really wanna go just one last time while im still a child as im 16 now

1. Get a job and offer to help pay.
2. Offer to not bring the friend. That will save a lot of money.

Yes but it will be boring without a friend as it would just be me and my mum and dad and they won't wanna go to disney again. I can't really save up either though, as i have to pay £500 for my engine to be rebuilt on my moped and about another £500 for my cbt and insurance. I just need ways to persuade her. I found all star resort ( i have been there twice before ) and for 4 people with 2 rooms its £2745 which i think is quite good. my friend will be paying £1000 towards that. Does anyone know any disney hotels that have suites you know where its like an apartment (more then one room) but also a hotel? thats cheap.

That's the spirit, FAMILY all-the-way!
Be sure to tell your mother how much your trips together mean to you.

Way to go! YOUR expenses are too high to contribute, but your PARENTS telling you 'it costs too much' doesn't seem to matter.

I just need ways to persuade her.

Just keep begging, that ALWAYS works.

Does anyone know any disney hotels that have suites you know where its like an apartment (more then one room) but also a hotel? thats cheap.

That resort is called, "The Neverland."
You can only find it by thinking lovely thoughts.

(Ahh, to be 16 again.) :ROFLOL:

You're not going to get cheaper than an All Star unless you stay off site. Your altenatives are to either go off season (ie before your exams in June or after the school hols in September) or keep that moped off the road and contribute more money yourself.

Maybe your parents are trying to "surprise" you by letting you think you are not going. Also look into vacation Condo off-site. I had one for only $75 a night and it was 3 bedrooms.

So if you won 3000 would you want your parents who didn't win tell you where to spend the money?

At 16 I would think you were ready for the real world and guess what, it ain't always fair and you don't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes you might find, you get what you need:D

And I'm sure your Mom would say that you can afford it as well; after all, you have all this money to spend on your mo-ped.

It looks like you want your parents to spend all their money, which they could probably use on other needs, but you don't want to contribute more of yours. If you want to go bad enough and if it is important enough to you, then offer to use this money that you are spending on the mo-ped.

It's easy to want the parents to fork out all the money for what you want, but it's another story when it's your own hard earned money, ain't it? :animwink:

You've either got to grab another job or get the moped off the road. As someone who has been saving, you can't persuade your parents unless you have something to contibute. Bite the bullet and go for it, or start saving for a trip in the future. Best advice you can get.

If you offer to fork over some of that mo-ped money to help fund this trip, you may end up pleasantly surprised after the fact in that your parents might decide to help you with the mo-ped after the vacation.

Naturally, I can't guarantee that, but it's possibly.

Either way, like the guy before me said, you're either gonna have to get another job, or find some other legal way of getting more money, or use your mo-ped money.

You can't expect your parents to spend all their winnings on a trip for YOU, while you remain unwilling to meet them halfway on the finances.

But they have never asked me to pay anything for any holidays before  My friend will be paying for the hotel, tickets, food, spending money and i told him that would be about £1500 and hes fine.

Don't push it too hard. I'm sure your parents make sacrifices for you all the time that you don't realize. Sometimes you can't so it all. Maybe you could opt for DLP instead of WDW. You still get the Disney magic, but it may cost less since you don't have to come to America.

I know that won't make you happy, but it's an option that is very available.

But if they are hesitant to go because they can't afford it, then that means that instead of expecting them to use all this money that they won on YOU (instead of necessary things like bills and food and such), you need to be willing to help pay for it if you are the one who wants to go so bad.

Being 16, you're getting to the age where you may need to start pulling your weight a little more and learning the value of a dollar...or in your case, a pound. :animwink:

You don't want to spend that mo-ped money on this trip because in your thinking, you need this mo-ped and it isn't worth sacrificing that money for this trip. And I have no idea what your situation is, so you may very well have a genuine need for that mo-ped. I have no clue; that's between you and your parents.

But the point is that your parents have financial obligations as well, such as their own vehicles, the house, monthly bills, food, etc. And they don't feel like they can afford this trip right now, because of their obligations just as you don't feel like you can afford to chip in anymore on it due to your obligations (the mo-ped). If this trip is so important that your parents should forgo some of their obligations to afford this trip, then IMO, it is important enough for you to forgo the money on that mo-ped...especially since the one who wants this trip the most is you.

We'll im not 16 till May so i say im still considered a kid :ROFLOL: I just really wanna go to Orlando just once more while im still young.. I just love the atmosphere there and Disney's were im happiest and with a mate with me i reckon it would be amazing. As my parent's would get to go to other areas of Florida which they have never seen before.. Like Miami and my dad wants to go back to kennedy space centre. So I just thought it would be a good idea staying in a disney hotel once more.
By the way, at all star resort's do they have the shuttles running all day and does a shuttle go to downtown disney at night?
Also... With a disney ultimate pass for 14 days, will you be able to go to more then one park a day?
