Thanks for all the replies! So far it's even with 50's PT and Coral Reef. Last trip we had a pretty good time at 50's, and Coral Reef was one we had cut out of our plans. So now I am torn between trying a new place (That i'm sure would disappoint us food wise, but hey, watching the aquarium through out the meal would be nice!) or going to a place that we had a good time at last trip, but isn't anything new or really all that exciting. I asked my DH and he said he wants them both, and to get rid of a different one, but wouldn't pick any others to get rid of! I need some one to break this tie for me, so that I can just have my mind made up by the lovely people here at WDWMagic!!

I voted Le Cellier because I wouldn't waste the time/money on taking a 7 year old to a steak house. I just know when I was that age I wouldn't eat 90 percent of what was on the menu of Steak Houses. Le Cellier I have always seen as somewhere adults go when they need to have some time away from the little ones but of course if you kids have a great taste for food it may be worth it after all. I looked up the kids menu and it is just smaller portions of the steaks and sea food and a turkey meat pasta option.

We dined at Le Cellier with our daughter when she was about 3 1/2 and surprisingly she enjoyed her meal as much as we did! My kids will eat anything, and actually enjoy eating "new" foods. Unfortunately for us, Le Cellier doesn't offer anything very interesting on the kids menu. However, what they do offer is still pretty darned good! (better than nuggets and fries for sure!!)

We've always enjoyed 50's PT, and may be jaded by pur previous visits in saying our last one wasn't up to par. That being said, while Coral Reef isn't one of my favorites, I'd still say the trying of a new restaurant should take precedence. :)

Did you have any good drinks at Coral Reef? We caught a good bartender the night we visited 50's so maybe that helped us to have a good experience
I am starting to think keeping Coral Reef atleast for the experience will be worth it?

My wife had one of their cocktails, but I stuck to iced tea. :)

All I can say is to give it a shot for the experience, if nothing else. I'm not a huge fan, but I may also not be in their target demographic. I will always advocate giving something new a try though.

If hubby wants them both, the next down the list is Garden Grill, which is one I generally enjoy the food at, but the novelty of the rotating restaurant wears thin quickly.

He actually feels sick a bit at Garden Grill beacuse of the constant motion (yes, he can indeed feel/notice it) but my daughter loves the characters here. This may actually be more of an option to get rid of than the other two... Hmmmm. Now you have me thinking Monty!!!

Just because everyone's voting for one resteraunt you haven't been to doesn't mean you shouldn't go to it. Take one off you've already been to and try a new one. I voted for the Garden Grill, don't skip out on one you haven't been to. The more of the places you go, the more you can relate to in the forums on this site :animwink:

To be fair though, you have a number of character meals on your list. Cutting one wouldn't necessarily be a deal-breaker for your daughter. :)

Garden Grill was baaaaaaaaaaaaad.

We have had a really great time there every meal we have had! I think we have been 3 times. (Could be 4, the trips all mesh together after a while!) Great character interaction for us, as well as some really great CM's, and we have enjoyed the food all the times (Except that new dessert stuff... not my cup of tea!) I am not so sure I would be willing to drop it just yet! 50's would be easier for me I think, especially since the kids enjoy the characters more than the "gimmicks" at 50's.

Rose and Crown food is expensive for nothing special. Unless you have an Illuminations reservation time...and even then, I probably would still pass on the food. Pretty much the worst fish and chips I have had.

Plenty of other options beside the fish!

We are going to time it for Illuminations and when we check in we will let them know we will wait for a table on the patio to open. I think its an opportunity to get a unique dining experience rather than a regular old sit down eat and leave kind of deal.
