That sounds like Marc and I - I wanted it to be a secret, and he didn't... so we found out and just didn't tell anyone. And you're moving with a newborn??? Goodness! Best of luck with that! I hope your family will be helping you guys.

Has the zombie-tired stage set in yet??

Oh, and get this book right away - very informative and FUNNY!!

http://www.amazon.com/Girlfriends-G...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1224723920&sr=8-1

And this one too -

Marc's b-day is the 5th too :D

I will definetly get both of those. I went to the bookstore after I found out and I felt like it would be bad luck if I bought anything. My SIL told me about some candy things that help the nausea but I wouldn't even go get them because I was so worried....but I think I'm pretty safe to go book shopping now :)

I am definetly at the very tired phase. I'm actually off all this week and I feel like all I have been doing is sleeping!

If it's a girl you could name it after all of us, and if it's a boy it could be ConnorFredDanLukeJoeRick. Kind of rolls off the tongue, don't you think?
:ROFLOL:

It's perfect!
But if it's a girl...we're all going to be fighting for the use of our name.
Otherwise, if we combined all our names...well, it'd be the longest name ever! :dazzle::lol:

The first one is the best - not as thourough as the "What to expect" book, but it gets the message through with a lot of humor.

My SIL tried the Preggie Pops - they were useless to her. But maybe you'll be like me - I only puked once, and wasn't really that nauseated.

 I will definetly suggest that one to DH! I bet he'll love it.

DD was due on the 5th but born on the 14th.....
Just think, you'll probably be a mother next Mother's Day!

That would be great!

I *was* going to wait until the first trimester was over because of all the high risk and everything. As soon as we found out that she was apparently a keeper, I couldn't wait either.

Yeah, the veggie rolls are okay. Just stay away from deli meat, smoked salmon, hot dogs and tuna fish. that listeria stuff is SCARY. I knew someone who miscarried in their 2nd trimester because of listeria poisoning :(

I was wondering about that. My doctor didn't give me any food or medication lists so I've been going by what my SIL told me and what I read on the internet (although I'm convinced that you shouldn't have access to the internet when you get that positive test....way to much scary info out there). I was wondering if the lunch meat thing was really something to watch out for. I don't eat tuna so that's not a big deal, but is it no hot dogs at all or can I eat them as long as they are cooked?

See? All the more reason to name her after me!:D

I'm sure my sister won't mind sharing her birthday.

My uncle is pushing for the 10th (his birthday). I'm betting Dh would go for Joanna more than Fishy's suggestion:lookaroun

So far its the nausea that gets me but I only puked once so far. I didn't get the what to expect book because my SIL got me "your pregnancy week by week" It seemed to have a lot of the same info.

I should probably shower...
Congrats again, Chrissy!
Have a nice night, everyone!

Night Nicole! Don't get to cold tonight!

OOH! Forgot this one -

http://www.amazon.com/Beyond-Jennif...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1224724439&sr=8-1

Lots of good names in there. Plus, it's fascinating in its own right. It's funny how name trends have changed over the years. I find it really interesting how all these old fashioned names are now back in style and the names we grew up with are all so "old"

I should probably just order them tonight...much easier than wandering around the bookstore trying to locate all of them!

Here - this is basically what my Dr told me

http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/foodstoavoid.html

Hot dogs have a lot of nitrates, so that's kinda bad, no matter if you cook them or not - Deli meat is okay if it's been brought to a steaming temperature - which, IMHO, makes it inedible. Who wants a nice steamy piece of deli turkey? :hurl:

I avoided practically everything. I took no chances. I figured if something happened to the baby because of my stupid desire for a piece of smoked salmon, I would never forgive myself.

And I think she turned out great because of it

So what else has been happening around here...I've been attemtping to keep up. Dot's in florida, Nicole and Luke are not enjoying the cold weather, Joanna is ready for school to be over, Steph is a Mrs!!!, Kat just got back from Cali.....anything else??

As for the nausea - try an apple. That worked for my SIL...

get the books at the library! You've got to save up for a crib, and diapers, and a carseat, and diapers, and a changing table, and diapers...
