I better start working on it now though, as fast as I move these days...

BTW, Dot, please tell me I'll survive the teen years???? She's not even there yet and I've been pulled from emotional highs to lows for the last few days. :brick::brick::brick:
I am there also. :hammer::hammer: times 3

Well...
I don't think I can help you much there.
The teen years are a true endurance test.
But you'll make it through.
A few tips...
When you say something, mean it.
Tell her you love her often (It will throw her off-balance when she's busy hating you.) :lookaroun
And make sure she knows she can talk to you about anything.
That last one is a biggie. It gives her an anchor she can count on.
You'll be fine. You're a great mom!

See, that's what we went through last night......she's been testing us on bedtime....and as a result wakes up tired in the morning. So we're telling her she has to stop finding reasons to get up every ten minutes, stay in her room and get ready for bed....then she gets all teared up, saying we don't listen to her, and she hears us but we don't hear her (how can we not, she never stops talking :brick:), yada yada yada.....

PHEW! that felt good....:zipit:

Vent anytime.
It does help.

Patience Mom.
She'll test you. Do listen. Sometimes her points will be valid.
And sometimes you just have to stand your ground.

I have told the girls this, I know there are going to be days that we don't see eye to eye and you just want to be left alone. Just tell me that is the case, I will try to understand but there are going to be days where things just have to be done and being left alone won't work for that day.
It somewhat seems to be working.

How are you feeling Jenny?

I'm still really tired, actually. Need Zyrtec to get through the night with this cold still....but I'm better each day. Oh, just talked to Mom today. Still using a walker, and hasn't been released to drive again, but the doc is please with how it's healing. We keep getting sick here, so I haven't seen her since mid-Sept. :(

I know....keep telling myself this. Have NO idea what I'll do with a boy who has trouble expressing himself to begin with.

I know - somedays my spine isn't working...that needs to change.
