Ooo! What a great costume ideas! Take pics and share them!

Do we know what all the Magic Friend kiddos are wearing on Friday?

Joel's costume sounds awesome! :sohappy:

Em had her heart set on Dorinda in Cheetah Girls...dressed in the sari that she wears at the end of "One World". :brick: I could not buy a purple sari for love nor money, so in the end I bit the bullet and went to the fabric store on Saturday. You have to understand that I am the least crafty person on the planet but Em for some reason has faith in me.

So, here is where it gets good. This is proof (to me) that God is always with us, in things great and small. We walk in to the store and there is a rack of fabric with a sign that says "Sari Fabric - 50% off". Em immediately finds a gorgeous purple fabric. Then we get in the cutting line and I'm musing out loud about how much to buy and the lady in front of me asks me what I'm making. So I tell her I'm going to attempt a sari. At which point she unfurls the cloth, shows me how to pleat it and drape it, tells me how much I'll need. She's of Indian/Asian descent and taught dressmaking for 19 years!!!! Plus she gave me her phone number and e-mail dress in case I have any questions. I took the whole thing as a sign that I can actually pul this thing off.

Well, this is what we hope it will look like. Mike found it on a family fun site:

Did not get a restful night's sleep last night...I know it's time to wake up, I just don't want to do it...I feel like I could sleep for another few hours and just be enough.
I slept good last night. I want more but then I would be dragging. I feel like getting some Christmas shopping done. :xmas::sohappy:
No money but I wnat to go do it. :D

Wow! That is awesome - I will definitely need to see pics. It sounds wonderful!

And you're not the only one sewing challenged dear, cross stitch is as creative as I've ever gotten, and even that was a long time ago.
