Have you ever *wanted* a ride to break down?

OH yes we have :). HM, in the ATTIC :). Would LOVE getting stuck, then EVAC'd with the lights on :).
I think Disney is missing a goldmine here - the "Behind the Scenes Lights ON tour " :). Charge a mint, do it at 1 AM :).
They used to do something similar to that but stopped and I think it's CMs only or something now. My dream is to tour the HM Lights on. :inlove:

On our last trip in September we were stuck on Buzz and maxed out the score. We have been stuck on both Spaceship Earth at the top where you turn around for your return and Haunted Mansion where it dips you backwards. A few years ago we rode Spaceship Earth and the ride took 45 minutes because it stopped so many times. Didn't mind any of it!

My 16 yr old and I got stuck on Pooh a few months ago and it was SO creepy! We were alone in a honey pot towards the end of the ride with the Heffalumps and I said to her what if we turned around and someone was sitting behind us...lol...we couldn't wait to get off of it! hahaha

When I was a kid, we were on "Mr.Toad" and it stopped in the "hell" section. LOL. My little sister cried. It lasted forever.
Breaking down on IASW is pure agony. Last trip, in '14, my daughter and I sat for 15 minutes in the curve at the bottom of the drop on SM. There was a timed splash that would soak us. She was infuriated, but I was thinking "how incredibly cool is this?". Someone had dropped a camera overboard and it took forever for the ride to resume. Craziest breakdown I've witnessed was COP. We were stuck in the last scene for at least 20 minutes. Oh, the humanity!

I loved the breakdown in HM in front of the grand ballroom. I never had the opportunity to really take in all there was in that scene. So on one trip we were stuck there for about 10 minutes and I got to view details I had never really seen before. I had another stoppage in the GMR in the western area. That allowed me to see and read all the posters and signage around the buildings. It was a treat because I'm a Westerns fan.

After being the only redhead on the boat stuck in the "We want the Redhead" scene in Pirates.... I dont wish to ever break down again. It was funny for about 5 minutes, but 30 minutes of everyone screaming it at you every time the loop would repeat got super old :)

Everytime I get on peoplemover I always hope for it to break down... Whether its outside or inside space mountain. It's relaxing, comfortable, and I love to people watch. If it stops in Space Mountain, I love the AC and the sounds of the coaster and the area music.

It's happened 4 times :D

Toy story mania and Buzz Lightyear space ranger spin because of obvious reasons but also Space Mountain on PeopleMover, sometimes it's nice to see Space mountain with all the lights on, also it'd be cool to break down right in front of the Walt's model of Epcot and just study it.

Heads up, if Mania breaks down it goes into some sort of practice mode, so you can't increase your score at all until it's fixed.

For example, when I'm on HM, I've always wanted it to break down when the Doom Buggy goes backwards down the hill leading to the graveyard, so I can really lean back and rest my back, which certainly tends to ache after walking around all day at Disney.

Been stuck like that a few times on HM...I will say, even though I'd much rather get stopped at the ballroom or graveyard scenes, it IS relaxing to just be suspended while leaning back. And HM is my favorite ride anyway, so they can play Grim Grinning Ghosts on repeat until the cows come home, for all I care, lol.

Got evac'd from Winnie the Pooh on our last trip...we were stopped just in front of the Tigger that pops up from the bushes. The audio was turned off, but the movement remained, so the three of us ended up stuck with an eerie moving Tigger and no one else around for about 10-15 minutes before someone came to lead us out. We ended up recording a "Blair Witch" style video because after awhile it did become unnerving (and my friend and I were just waiting for a Taran Killam-esque carnival ride SNL skit to occur).

I would LOVE to be evac'd, lights on, etc. in HM. The few times I've been stopped I've relished the extra time to take in the details, but I'd love to do a walkthrough of that ride. Space Mountain would also be interesting.

I'd love to break down on pirates! It could be anywhere!
I have been on the peoplemover while space mountain was broken down! So not only did I get to enjoy my ride around tomorrowland, but I got a sneak peak of space mountain with the lights on!

Always wondered how they would do an evac on the old 20000 Leagues under the sea!

I never had the opportunity to be evacuated, just stuck on Thunder Mountain for about 10 minutes...at the end right before the train enters the station..in the heat..with everyone in the queue watching us while being shaded...good times.

I'm intrigued by all the behind the scenes stuff, so I do enjoy a ride stoppage! My only ever evac was from BTM at DLP, which was really interesting and fun. I'd like to experience some more ride evacs.

Perhaps Splash Mountain somewhere in the Laughin' Place. It's my favorite ride and it would be cool to look at all the effects that go into making that scene. Either that or the top of SSE like @Goofyernmost said. It would be really cool to see that area with lights on

If we're talking about ride evacs then I need to share a story, throwback to when Test Track 1.0 was open, but this story takes place just weeks before it closed, anyway, it was the last day of our trip, like 8 at night and we had dinner reservations at Via Napoli after the ride so we knew this would probably be our last ride on not only old Test Track but also our trip. The ride is going smoothly all up until the part right before the launch to the 60 MPH loop and all of that, the ride stops and we're stuck lined up to go 0-60. So basically, our 10-11-12 year old minds say lets start singing so basically we were stuck on Test Track singing for 20 minutes at the top of our lungs. After 20 minutes, the PA guy comes on and says that they are evacuating the ride and we all were super sad and ready to get out but after like 30 seconds the ride randomly turns back on! So when we got done with our ride, we got to go around again since we were stuck on it 20 minutes with nothing to do. One of my favorite memories of Walt Disney World and one of the reasons why Test Track (1.0 or 2.0) is my favorite ride!
