Have you ever *wanted* a ride to break down?

Not in a bad way, mind you. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever wanted a ride to break down/stop at a particular spot on a ride. For example, when I'm on HM, I've always wanted it to break down when the Doom Buggy goes backwards down the hill leading to the graveyard, so I can really lean back and rest my back, which certainly tends to ache after walking around all day at Disney. Another one, back when I was a kid, was World of Motion, in the speed tunnel that showed the flaming vortex. That scared me and fascinated me in equal measure, and I always wanted to see it a bunch of times. Anyone else?

HM for an extended period in the ballroom scene so I can really take everything in. Also, the attic bc I know there are hidden elements in there.

BTW--OP from first hand experience you don't want to be stopped coming out of the attic backwards in HM. We were stuck there for about 5 mins on our last trip and it was NOT comfortable whatsoever.

I always want Haunted Mansion to break down during the Ballroom and Graveyard scenes. I always quietly hope I'll one day get evac's from the Graveyard...

I wouldn't mind getting stuck during the Indy section of Great Movie ride or anywhere with animals on Kilamanjaro Safaris. I assume they'd send a truck to pick us up on the latter instead of walking us through the savannah, but still.

My favorite ride is SSE. I have always, since the first time I rode it in the 80's have wanted it to break down at the very top with the earth from space scene. Over the years, it has never stopped to the extent that we had to be escorted off the ride, but it has stopped for those brief episodes to help people get on or off the ride at load and unload. However, never has it stopped when I was at the very top. You know that someone has had that happen to them, because it would be impossible for it not to happen, just not for me.

My brother in law had to stop and evacuate off Space Mountain, and he said it was a pretty strange experience. HM and Buzz almost always "stop" for me during my rides at DL. Strangest though was breaking down on Indy right before the big ball/drop scene. The Indy AA was just hanging there above us not saying anything. No music either, just the rumble of the car engine.

I got stuck there once right in front of Bogey. They said the same thing maybe 3 times through before they cut the sound. The CM driving the vehicle tried to keep up the patter - "So, has anybody seen Casa Blanca? What was your favorite part?" - etc. It was pretty comical!

Not a "breakdown" in the normal sense. We were stuck on the safari for about 10 minutes when a rhino decided to lay down in the road in front of the truck ahead of ours and refused to move. He (she) seemed quite content to just hangout and enjoy the warm sun. He(she) eventually got up and moved on its own.

I had the HM ride stop as we turned backwards and were going down. Ironically, I told my friend seconds before "wouldn't it be funny if we got stuck right at this point?"

Also got stuck several times on Splash Mountain recently. We slowed down on the climb up and got stuck on the turn after we made the drop. We kept getting splashed a bit from the wake of the boats behind us.

OH yes we have :). HM, in the ATTIC :). Would LOVE getting stuck, then EVAC'd with the lights on :).
I think Disney is missing a goldmine here - the "Behind the Scenes Lights ON tour " :). Charge a mint, do it at 1 AM :).

The current Journey Into Imagination. Hope you aren't tired of hearing Figment spraying you in his skunk form.
I was on Figment and it broke down for about 20 minutes. We were in the room where he does the eye test and luckily i like the song which played the first 10 minutes on repeat. It stopped playing for the last 10 minutes and we rode the rest of the ride without audio or any animations. It was pretty interesting.

Toy story mania and Buzz Lightyear space ranger spin because of obvious reasons but also Space Mountain on PeopleMover, sometimes it's nice to see Space mountain with all the lights on, also it'd be cool to break down right in front of the Walt's model of Epcot and just study it.

If I die without ever having been involved in a WDW ride evac, I will be disappointed. There have been a few times where the ride has shut down for 10-15 minutes and I am thinking "This is it! Evac time-finally!"-and then off we go again like nothing happened. The only spots on attractions that I do not want to stop for any amount of time are the pitch black areas, ie parts of TTA, POTC, etc., as I am somewhat claustrophobic and pure darkness freaks me out a bit.
