Have you ever got stuck on a ride because it stopped, if yes how long?

I also got stuck on Splash just before the final lift. We waited for 30-45 minutes before we were evacuated. We were helped out of the log one at a time, and I was surprised how unstable those things are when they're not at the loading/unloading area. You kind of forget that they really are floating during the ride.

A couple of us almost hit our heads on part of the "rocky" ceiling, but it turns out it wouldn't have mattered as it was really made out of foam. We then walked through the laughing place, seeing all sorts of pipes, valves, lights, and electrical equipment before exiting out the back of the building. I saw this area on the Backstage Magic tour, and it was neat to see it again for free.

We reentered the park through large doors near the restrooms by Splash's exit, and were given passes to enter any one Fastpass line at any time.

During the July 4th weekend, I got stuck in the HM. It was our last ride before heading out that evening - around 11 pm. And there were only a few people with us. So, I decided to play around with some of the CMs a little bit - mocking them and such. Well.... they definitely didn't like that.

So, as we are moving through the graveyard - everything suddenly shuts down. The craziest thing that the animatronics and the soundtrack kept cutting in and out - sometimes alternating. After about 25 minutes, it really started to get freaky in there.

As we were sitting there in our Doombuggy, my friend and I both swore that we saw someone running behind the scene to our right (we were facing the 'fat lady'). When I told the CM at the end, she was just like, "Umm.. ok"

I have ridden that ride hundreds of times over the years.. and that was the first time I think that I was ever a bit freaked. And if it was CM retaliation for my mocking - well, you did a good job!
:p

I've been stuck on a few attractions with the worst being It's A Small World. 45 mins listening to that song over and over is enough to drive you crazy.

Most of it was cement, or something like it. The part that was foam was like a stalactite that jutted down out of the ceiling. It was something real easy to hit your head on.

PoTC for 22 minutes in the 'Yo-Ho, Yo-ho' scene, and IASW for 15... we were ready to walk off it. Also, almost everytime I go on Haunted Mansion the damn thing stops

My boyfriend and I got stuck on Maelstrom for 15 minutes when we were there in April. The CMs kept giving the "Please remain seated. We are trying to restart the attraction" message over and over again. When we finally did get off, they were giving out free Fastpasses.

Also when we were there in April, my brother, his friend, my boyfriend, and I was at Carousel of Progress and it took too long to load the next group, so the scene we had just seen started up again as we were starting to move.

my mom, dad, sister, and i were stuck on splah mountain right next to the small waterfall on the right after making the turn following the final drop. my mom and dad were both on the right side of the car. they shut it off after about 20 sec. knowing they probably had a camera on there my sister and i starting raising a thumbs down sign in the air and pointing to the shut off falls. they then turned it on for about a minute while the ride was still stopped and my parents got soaked. it was funny. ive also been stuck on test track a few times and each time i got a pass to enter the line though the exit. but even with that pass they make you wait in the line after queue which stinks b/c usually thats about how far you adavance if you go on as a single rider anyhow.

Wierd! A similar incident happened to me once that that I just remembered, and when I decided to post it here, I see someone else had the same thing happen to him! Only, when it happened to me, it was caused by a very ignorant couple of guests. It was the end of the final scene, and this couple (who I could tell were not American, surprise surprise :) )got up in the middle of it and just walked right out the door! The door was still slightly open just as the theater was about to move. I guess the theater has some saftey mechanism that stops it from moving if any of the doors are open, so it stopped, and the scene started up again. I felt sorry for the people in the theater next to us who wouldn't get to see the beginning of the scene.:(

I realize it can be hard for guests who can't speak very good English (if the was indeed the case) to follow all the rules, but come on, at least be courteous to the other guests and wait for the show to end. (I still wonder how they found their way out of the attraction, since they left on the other side of the exit.)

I had get stuck in different rides. The last one was on the Summer 2001 at the Universe of Energy, the ride start moving and right when we were about to enter to the dinosaurs, the ride stopped, we waited fro 25 minutes and then some people came and move the cars manualy to their original position in the theater and they evacuated us, the gave us passes to come back later but the ride never open again for that day. The worst one was the first and only time I've been at the Rapids in AK. I went to that ride like a week after its opening. It was a very hot day and we got sutck in the fire right when you are about to go down the water fall. We stayed there for 55 minutes!!!!!! And the never came to give us water or something to drink during that time. It was a nightmare. I got sunburned. I promised to myself that I'll never ride that thing again and I haven't done it yet. Other I've got stuck are: SE, HM, SM, TT and El Rio del Tiempo

I got stuck in Universe of Energy at the dinosaur bit. But instead of pushing the cars back to the start the CMs had us all get out walk through the attraction to the normal exit. It was cool - and we got some great close up dinosaur photos.

Ugh, that had to be horrible. I freak out if that ride stops for more than 30 seconds. I was @ Spalsh Mountain a few weeks after it opened and got stuck in line for about 15 min when it broke down. The heat was bad, but hearing a high-pitched cartoon character sing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah about 30-40 times was worse =p

Check my trip report from June 23-30. We were stuck on Buzz and eventually were walked off. Then we were stuck on Dinosaur, the lights came on for a bit and then it started up and everything was fine. Got stuck on Test Track four cars from getting off the ride. CM came and walked us off and gave us passes for another ride. Also that trip while on TTA, rode through Space with the lights on. This all happened during the full moon that month.
