Haunted Walt Disney World

Even though I live in Florida, my family and I like to have a true "Disney vacation" every once and a while. This time, we stayed in the Fort Wilderness cabins (just got back today). The cabins were wonderful, but I did honestly feel creeped out, especially since I had a few "experiences"...

Now, I don't know if what I saw was real or not, it could have been just my mind playing tricks on me. On our Magic Kingdom day, my mother and I went back to the park at night. We left just before 11, took the boat back to the resort, then hopped on the bus back to cabins 2400. While walking from the bus stop to our cabin, I saw a white silhouette of someone walking outside someone's cabin. It was just for a split second, but I had to look around to see if anyone was there. There wasn't. My mom didn't see it though, and mind you, I (we) were exhausted.

Last night, after returning home from Epcot, I crawled in the comfy pull down bed located in the living room. Once again, I saw a white silhouette of someone walking, but this time it was in the hallway of the cabin, and the person appeared to be walking into the bathroom. I immediately sat up and got a massive chill down my spine. My mom, once again, didn't see anything. I thought it could have been my stepdad, but he was asleep in the main bedroom. Then I heard the noises of kids laughing, and thought my little sister (4) was up. At that point, I was too freaked out to sleep alone out in the living room, so I sprinted into the main bedroom and slept on the bottom bunk.

Now, I was tired. I think my mind may have been playing tricks on me, but I'm not too sure. It was very scary though. Though it did make me wonder if anyone has seen, heard of or experienced anything at one of the WDW resorts or parks. I think that this could be a very interesting topic.

I have never seen anything but your account of what happened has convinced me to never stay in the cabins!

Correct. Adam The Woo (who seems to have a habbit of breaking into abandoned places) visited River Country. Everything is still there, the music is still on, the lights still shine, all the tables are still around. Watch the video. It's pretty creepy:
Infact, take a look at his other videos too, they're pretty good. He visits the old Six Flags place that was closed by Hurricane Katrina too. It's creepy cuz it's just like everyone just disappeared.

I like Adam's trek into the closed Wonders of Life video. And his one in the closed Rainbow Tunnel area. How did he get up there unnoticed! At least he's ALLOWED to visit DisneyLAND! Maybe something for the future???

Interesting story but I cannot give you an answer.

I have heard many Disney ghost stories in my time but they are all fake. eg one said Space Mountain is haunted since the ride crashed and killed lots of people. That incident has never happened and when I called him out on it he wasn't having any of it so I just said whatever lol

Oh look, it's that official Disneyland Halloween viral marketing again  Seriously, about four different videos of ghosts at Disneyland were uploaded that day in early October by five different brand new Youtube accounts. There was this, a Space Mountain one, a Tower of Terror one and another.

Weren't these videos debunked?

Yeah I'm pretty sure they were :)

Edit: After watching the above video, the man seems to have forgotten that those effects can easily be achieved with Video editing/Special effects software. Photoshop for video if you will.

Yeah... I mostly think its an editing software as well.

I'll say this, on a personal level I don't discount peoples experiences. Trust me, I used to. I don't believe in anything, I'm not religious, I don't believe in fate, karma, etc etc etc

BUT... one night about 3 years ago I'm at my wife's parents house and out of the corner of my eye I saw a white, translucent figure... I turned and saw an older man wearing a top hat.

AGAIN, I don't believe in any of that garbage but I saw what I saw and I'm the most skeptical person on this earth.

Please, please stop putting any thought into those Disneyland videos. They were viral marketing done by Disney for Disneyland. Even if they weren't... again, easily accomplished with computers and video editing.

You should have seen my childhood house in Ontario, CA. Not only did I see and hear things, but so did my mother. Like you said, seeing is believing.

It was a simple time anomaly.

What you witnessed was the specter of people that were occupying the same space at a different time.

A parallel universe/alternate dimension...someone upset the space-time continuum.

Just be happy that you didn't get sucked into the vortex and ended up trying desperately to get back home hoping each time that your next leap will be the leap home.

Weren't these videos debunked?
EDIT:

To debunk the debunking:

1. Disneyland ghost. Camera burnout? IF that is the case, they should see "ghosts" all the time on the cameras if they are burned out. why just this one time?

2. If the ghost on space mountain is just light reflecting off the floor, why just in that one area? There should be reflections everywhere and why just this one time? It should happen often.

3. In ToT ghost scene, he says its an image of the man himself. The first "ghost" behind him does not look much like him at all. He doesnt have a mustache or glasses on. The second "ghost" that appears to his right looks as if it is holding on tightly to the hand grips (@ 2:23) next to the seat while the technician is clearly holding a clipboard with both hands.

4. The "ghost" on the castle is an employee. Again, wouldnt people see him/her all the time during the fireworks show? Unless it was a one time thing, but why would Disney make a camoflauge suit for a one time thing?

5.The ghost in the rocks. He says it is nothing more than the discoloration of the rocks. He could be correct. The fact that you dont see it when the camera pans back toward it simply means the ghost could have gone away or it simply was the color of the rocks. You could argue either side.

6. Ghost sitting on ledge at ToT. He doesnt have an explanation for this one. I agree It could just be a Disney created illusion. Have people seen this again though?

Im not saying that these videos ARE real ghosts. Im only saying that just because someone "claims" to debunk them with their own ideas doesnt mean they are correct in their "assumption". Had he shown examples of these effects happening on other camera systems outside of Disney than it would give his case more credibility. This is not debunking, he just states what he believes with no actual evidence. Dont believe his debunking theory any more than you should believe someone telling you these are real ghosts. For believers, no proof is necessary. For skeptics, no proof is possible. Make up your own mind or just accept the fact that they are a mystery that could be paranormal or could be explainable.

A few years ago we were staying at the Wilderness Lodge DVC and the TV in the bed room would come on in the middle of the night. I would turn it off and it would just come back on. If i tried to turn the tv on any other time it would turn right off. It was really wierd. I joked about it being a ghost, I thought maybe it was set on a timer, but it did not appear to be. After a couple of nights of being woken up in the middle of the night we unplugged the TV.

In the movies the TV still comes on after you unplug it if it's a ghost. Must've been a glitch with the wiring! ;)
