Haunted Walt Disney World

I would LOVE to check out River Country! I have a weird fascination with abandoned places.
I would be totally with you! If that is I wouldn't be banned for life if I were caught. I remember River Country from my first two trips to WDW before it was closed. So much fun.

And I've seen the videos out there that show the state it is in now... It's such a strange thing that something that rotten and decrepit exists on the WDW property and that nothing has been done to even clear what is left away. It just stays. A passing shadow of what WDW was in her prime glory. (Sorry, know that probably sounds cheesy, but I don't know how else to explain my feelings about the place)

You can see great views of it from Fort Wilderness! You can practicially walk right up to it before a giant green fence stops you. Riding the boat from FW to the MK also let's you see a great view of it. It's really creepy in the fact that some of the lights are still turned on.

I heard the music is still playing too!

Correct. Adam The Woo (who seems to have a habbit of breaking into abandoned places) visited River Country. Everything is still there, the music is still on, the lights still shine, all the tables are still around. Watch the video. It's pretty creepy:
Infact, take a look at his other videos too, they're pretty good. He visits the old Six Flags place that was closed by Hurricane Katrina too. It's creepy cuz it's just like everyone just disappeared.

There's so much out there about the afterlife and Disney properties from the accidents, suicides and murders. Plus the families who manage to spread their loved ones ashes. You can read up on it on Wiki but that only starts with 2001. Anything prior to that Disney did not have to report. I like FW but don't want to stay there. (Not because of spirits. I've had a few non-Disney "experiences" myself.) I'd be the one to come back to find Bigfoot and family paying me a visit.:)

@BryceM, you do know a child on a bike was hit by a bus at FW and died right?

Everytime we boat past that place's remains the hair on the back of my neck stands up. The thought of what is left on Discovery Island is disturbing too. And the fact some urban explorers had the guts to swim out there. That took some b*lls! You know two kids did drown at River Country right?
