I was there last week and rode the ride 11 times. I wished I knew this before I rode it, I would be looking harder for these things. Thanks for the heads up!!

There were also numerous hidden Jack Skellingtons added during last year's refurb. Unfortunately, most are nearly impossible to see under show conditions. One of the books on the table in the library near the rocking chair is titled "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Nearby, on the floor, is another book with Jack on the cover. There is also a large, plush Jack doll to the right as you're exiting the attic, all the way in the back of the scene. Nearby is a Nightmare Before Christmas snowglobe. There's also a hidden Sally in the attic, but I don't recall exactly where (near the first husband's portrait, I think).

Another miscellaneous HM tidbit: Though there appear to be many books in the library set, nearly all of them are simply a painted flat. Out of the painted ones, only three have legible titles. Two of them are The Art of Deception, Volumes 1 and 2 by Claude Coates (one of the main Imagineers for the Haunted Mansion). I don't recall the name of the other volume, but I don't think that it had any particular significance. Again, these are completely impossible to see under show conditions.

Okay I know this picture is HUGE but I posted it because some of the good items like the doll and wedding cert are in this picture I took, and I NEVER realized them until I read this and viewed this pic in its actual size!

WOW!

Thanks for posting that picture, Blackthidot! It's the little details like the groom's goblet being turned over that go completely unnoticed until you learn to look for them. How cool... Got to love WDI!

Looks like George Hightower could be a relative of Harrison Hightower over at TDS. Looks like that family has a thing about haunted buildings. ;)
Well if George Hightower died in the 1870s and lived in a mansion somewhere in the Hudson River Valley, it's certainly possible for Harrison Hightower to be a grandson or something, running the Hotel Hightower in NYC?

Yeah it was close to midnight at MNSSHP and the cast members said if we want we can stay in the doom bugggies and ride as much as we want and we were the only ones so I flashed away. :goodnevil
Don't blame you! Would have done the same thing myself. Thanks again for posting the pictures. :D
