Haunted Mansion Restaurant

You know what I want?
I want a second "haunted" attraction at one of the other three parks so that all those Imagineers who have an itch to install some stupid new projection-based (or whatever) effect can stick it someplace useful without further adulterating a 45-year-old pop art masterpiece.
While I'm against their installing some half-baked idea, I was under the impression MK is a theme park. Not a museum.

I wouldn't expect that until closer to the 50th.
My personal wishlist for Mansion
*Restore Red Globes to chandeliers in Corridor of Doors
*Hands go back on final door.
*A more-realistic looking Bride (preferably an animatronic.) (Keeping the portraits and Black-Widow Bride concept though.)
*Hatbox Ghost
*Restore original HHG effect and remove pointless props from HHG tableau.

They need to add the face that pushes out of the painting from the Tokyo Hall of Doors. It's a simple effect, but so effective and cool.

a "Happy Haunts Ball" type Dinner attraction. Build a duplicate(though larger) version of the Haunted Mansion Ballroom loaded with special effects...It would be more popular than the Be Our Guest Restaurant....for sure!

Great idea Bocabear would love to see that happen. Love the HM

If the Imagineers were capable of improving, rather than diluting the work of Davis and Atencio, then I would have no problem with their efforts. However, based on what we have seen lately, they are not, and should not.
Fair enough. Since you've got such a firm handle on how things ought to be, have you submitted your résumé? It's so easy to sit back and gripe about how things are, and another entirely to do something about it.

No, That would take away the vibe of a colonial Manor House and expand the painful self-referencing mentality of PLQ and despite my disillusionment with this countries direction I am not willing to throw Liberty Square out and turn the whole area into Mansion-Land. Building the restaurant on the PLQ site and extending back into the vacant land next to the ROA is what they should do.
New Restaurant goes in black circle. The queue will obviously have to be re-designed to separate restaurant traffic from Attraction traffic.

The location you've circled is exactly the area i'm talking about, and basically doing what was done in Tokyo Disneyland to get to their version of Splash Mountain, I don't know what any of your "PLQ" "ROA" abbreviations mean though

I believe PLQ has come to be a derogatory reference to the entrance queue for Haunted Mansion at WDW. Something like Pretty Lame Qeue or similar.

ROA likely refers to the river that runs between HM and Tom Sawyer Island (Rivers of America in Disneyland)

I like the walking ghost book effect in the library (can't recall which mansion has it). It would look pretty sweet in wdw's mansion. Of all the things I'd like to see most in the mansion, a dedicated spider lair with giant webs, maybe some projected spider shadows and the return of the pre-1970's Man in Web would be ideal. Oh and Constance to get the ax. I'm tired of her. Off with HER head.
