Interesting...any word on what will be done? Seems like a short refurb period...

Apparently, "belt replacement and general mechanical rehab" are on the line-up during the refurb.

Cleaning? At the Haunted Mansion? Don't you mean, dirtying?

I'd love to see the spit and other goop projected by, I have to guess, youths, cleaned up throughout the ride. It's just disgusting that some people think that's funny.

It's about time too. last time I rode HM it was dreadful (but not in that good Haunted Mansion way). Let's hope the audio will be clear, crisp and skip free now.

It sure needs it! Evey time I go on that ride there is always so much dust and there are cobwebs everywhere! :lol:

Does the WDW Hauted Mansion get transformed into the Night before Christmas like in CA. Going for the first time during Christmas!

I'm afraid that won't be happening. 10 days isn't long enough to do anything major. Just a routine rehab.

The audio is horrible, but I do not think that will be enough time to do much about any upgrades. Also the doom buggies need some help. When they go to rotate they get some sway going. They need to put a warning sign about motion sickness before entering the ride :lol: It would be nice if the doom buggies would rotate like the time machines on SSE where they rotate to a specific point and stop without all that swaying. Ay least we should see some new cob webs.

So far its been Disneyland only, i think Tokyo is getting it this year though. It would be closed down NOW for the overlay so a refurb in November wouldn't make any sense.

Yup! I can conclude this is correct!! I beleive I heard they'll be putting in a new belt and animatronics refurbs. Oh well, not too much but its a start!!

There's enough dust down there to knit 500 sweaters...

I'm glad they will refurb the place... it looked like, like........ a cemetery...
I hope they'll do a good job... and finally we all have a nice CLEAN Mansion...
