The Haunted Mansion survived all these years without a silly ghost with a disappearing face, it'll be fine without it.

But now the hatbox ghost is a...perfect illusion!

I'm glad this will be done by the time we arrive. My favorite ride I love Halloween too. Plus, can't wait to go into their newish retail store.

I was there this past weekend. Saw the Mansion. Wasn't aware a scrim was up. Which means it came down before my trip.

Hatbox Ghost is not happening. At least for now. CM confirmed that at a recent KTTK tour...

They always say that i bet if you ask a cm something about anything thats rumored right now they said it would happen yet it never will plus cm's don't know the imagineers do

Maybe sometime around 2021 for the 50th anniversary. This refurb is too short for that.

I can imagine the placement, wiring, programming, testing, lighting, etc. that would need to be done. It's not like you're dropping in a Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum figure.

After my upcoming December trip to WDW, I think I'll be taking a long overdue trip to DL to see Hatbox Ghost and all the other cool things they've added since I lived out there in the late 80's as a kid.

But I do hope they eventually add it to WDW, because it looks really cool. Maybe I'll see it for the 50th.

Having seen the hatbox ghost, if they want to bring it to WDW then they need to either slow down the ride or speed up the ghost. I knew to look for it and was able to see the head move, but the other people in my party didn't even notice it. It's a cool feature when you see it.

Having been to Disneyland for the first time earlier this year and seeing the hatbox ghost in person there, I would gladly welcome this small and quick addition to the Haunted Mansion at WDW.

I wouldn't be so sure about CMs on KTTK tours. I don't think its happening during this refurb but it very could happen in the not too distant future. I would put tour guides just above front line cast members which are just above bus drivers.
