Actually I'm thinking more like Men In Black. Not sure if this idea is a gem. This patent doesn't specifically say how the action will be controlled, saying they will be wands might be a jump. Could be related to Mario Kart? That would fit in with everything said in the article.
Over on OU they said it's definitely not Mario Kart.

A new patent from Uni. What it describes is eerily similar to the "TSMM with wands" idea that apparently cost Disney their deal to get Potter. I believe @GiveMeTheMusic can elaborate on that.

Given the image from the patent this seems WORLDS above what Midway mania with wands.

Seems like you can use said device to interact certain objects in the room. Add that with wands and make the theme harry potter and imo you have a killer experience.

DC Redo is (seemingly) happening. Expect Closure Late this year or early next. Do not expect a great deal more than hulk, but expect more nonetheless.

I want the Triwizard Maze complete with the Sphinx that we never got in the Goblet of Fire movie. I still can't figure out how that didn't make it into the movie.
Is there an interview or something to confirm that? It was my understanding they removed the creatures from the maze to focus on the mental challenge rather than the physical, and to speed the final act on to the graveyard encounter.

I personally found the Sphinx and Blast-ended Skrewt to be incredibly silly and welcomed their removal from the film.

$. They didn't want to add more special effects creatures. They already had the dragon and the mer people plus the normal special effects.
