Bah, Humbug! I hate the New Year holiday! Just a silly holiday where the business of the entire country has to come to a halt because of a silly change of calendar. I'm waiting for a package to arrive in the mail, but now I have to wait until at least tomorrow to hope for its arrival, as there is no mail today. We're looking into buying a new couch, and I tried to call a used furniture store today to see about having them take our old couch and love seat, but guess what? They're closed until Monday because of this pathetic holiday. I certainly don't complain about getting holiday pay and sometimes an extra day off (although I normally prefer to work a full 5 days and get holiday pay on top of that), but it's pretty frustrating when I can't conduct any business because everyone else is closed, too. Did I mention I hate this holiday? :lol:

But for those of you who are into this kind of thing, have a safe and happy one, I guess.

I understand your pain, I've been having to try to deal with vendors that have been closed for almost two weeks and won't go back to work until the 5th. :brick:
