I would expect these will be themed in due course. They have only just been installed for testing the new show.
For sure. Does anybody remember the outrage at the first projector setup for Magic Memories and you? These don’t look good, but anything could be better than that.

After seeing the lighting enhancements, etc from the new Paris show I feel HEA is looking kinda blah, but the win still being the amount of fireworks unlike Paris. Unpopular opinion and I do get the love for HEA but I think it’s time for either updates or a brand new show.
HEA is still great and I'd rather they focus on a nighttime additional to DAK (closer to Tropical America's opening) or even a proper DHS show.

Starlight and Wishes would be a great Magic Kingdom summer promotion.
While not comparable to a whole new theme park, it'd be a heck of a way to capture all of those locals/APs who were fond of nighttime parades and fireworks while they're (essentially) blocked out from Epic Universe. With Epic requiring full-priced day admission, I can't imagine most AP holders will pay for more than 1 day until they can purchase an Epic inclusive AP.

Not sure if Disney would, but it would be an easy win for them. Summer has also become a semi-slow time for the parks, so it would allow more guests to come in when they previously wouldn't.

I'm in favor of a nighttime show that is fireworks-focused, can be seen and viewed from a dozen spots inside and outside the MK, and doesn't have projections.
But the limited Wishes reruns they've done, like for cast member celebrations, already had projections created for it and included.

Bringing it back would just do more projections not less.

And last I checked, HEA is fireworks-first, projections-second. The numbers and % of the show speak for itself.

Just like in the Dinosaur retheme thread, we need additions not replacements.

Animal Kingdom needs a nighttime show.
Hollywood Studios needs a nighttime show (again) that's fireworks-first.
Either of the 3 parks needs a daytime parade, probably Hollywood Studios.

Stop it already with the replacements, bring on the additions and additional capacity and offerings. They've tried that already with Disney Enchantment and Harmonious and look how it turned out. The former was reverted and the latter was replaced immediately for a better show.

It's sad we are not back to pre-Covid numbers in terms of parades and nighttime spectaculars.

Agree to disagree on this topic. :) HEA is an ADD nightmare that, to me, is projections-first, lighting second, fireworks third. I don't really care what people want to claim is the shell count - Luminous has a ton of shells but when you're launching the same stuff from 5 arms at the same time, that count goes up in a hurry. And types of shells and how they are used matters.

I "watched" 5 minutes of HEA from Frontierland last February and ... it was awful. You cannot get whatever story they are pretending to convey unless you are able to see the castle. I watched 'Wishes!' from two different places at the Contemporary, BLT, and from a boat on Bay Lake and knew what was going on because you had the audio going along with things. Well, except for that boat ride, but by that time in our lives we knew what to expect.

We had audio on our Wishes boat tour.
