Halloween Decoration??

This link goes to the BEAUTIFUL halloween decorations this year at TDL. Tokyo has many similar attractions as our magic kingdom (castle, etc). Look at how beautiful this park is done up for the hoilday. It really gives you an idea of how our park here in the US could look. It puts our Magic Kingdom to shame. Why does Tokyo get more and more beautiful, while our parks seem to be slipping?

WOW! Those are AMAZING. The trashcans, the lamps - ugh, I'm jealous! Halloween is my favorite time of year. It's so fun. I'd be a kid in a candy store if WDW did things up like that.

*sniffles*

Man, those are so great....!

It's more than just funding. The Tokyo Resort generally had a slump in attendence during late September and October. The resort saw Halloween, a holiday not celebrated in Japan, as a way to attract guests during this slow period. Thus, they devoted lots of time and energy into transforming the park during this time of year.

I've always thought that Disneyland did a MUCH better job of celebrating the holidays (with the exception of Christmas) than Walt Disney World. Some speculate that this is because Disneyland attracts more local guests and thus must constantly change things (seasonal decorations and such) more than WDW.

Ahh, thanks! That's really interesting.

Makes sense to me.

Looks like the decoraters said..."If there is a bare spot...plop a Jack-O-Lantern down

Looks great though...I'd love to see what it looks like at night!

I love Tokyo Disneyland. I really want to go there. Every time I see more pictures it makes me want to go even more than I already did. Someday I will. My wife says maybe we'll try for our 10th anniversary, but more likely, it'll have to wait until at least our 15th.
