If Disney ever changes the show by taking the speech away from the incumbent president, it would be seen as a political statement against whatever president it was, as well as their affiliated party.

If they were to take away the speech, it would be better for them to say that as of the year, 20XX the new POTUS will no longer have a speaking role. In this regard, the decision is made regardless of who the new one is.

Was also thinking on those threatening to move to Canada should "he who must not be named" becomes president....well I will up that one, and state I will have to move to Disneyland Paris.....

I feel that if Hillary wins, Obama might still have a small speaking part before hers, since he was the first President who wasn't white. Then when it's changed in 2020/2024, both Hillary and Obama will have speaking parts before the current president. Idk, I just think it would be weird for Disney to eliminate both parts considering how historic they are/would be.

I don't know. JFK was the first Catholic president, but he doesn't have a speaking role. It may not seem like a big deal now, but it sure was when he got elected.

It might have been because Disneyworld wasn't in existence, or because Lincoln was the only president who spoke for 2 decades. The speaking part for the current president didn't begin until Clinton, and Washington wasn't even added to the lineup until 2009. I'm not saying it will happen, but I think it could.

My money is on either Clint Eastwood or anyone of Duck Dynasty narrating if Trump wins. If it's Eastwood, he'll yell at you at the end of the speech to "Leave....NOW!" "Get off my seats"
