With the advent of AI voice technology, can't we have the four most recent presidents just sing a barbershop quartet version of "Golden Dream" with Obama's warm tenor voice taking the solo?
I realize you mean well but even that will generate consternation. Who determines which are the "key Presidents"? No matter who is included, there will be complaints about who was excluded. And there will be differences of opinion on what are the "key decisions."Quite honestly, I believe there was one suggestion in this thread or another that called out a way to save this and have it be less political...
Take importance of the current President out of the equation, and base the attraction on key Presidents that effected major issues - Lincoln as an example. You show the current President and acknowledge them, but focus more on key decisions made by key Presidents.
That way you just focus on the historical importance.
Who was the first current president to speak? Dubya?Well it originally did not have the current president speaking so why not revert it back to the way it was
President Clinton. Martin has tributes up for each version.Who was the first current president to speak?
This is a very reasonable position and compromise.Quite honestly, I believe there was one suggestion in this thread or another that called out a way to save this and have it be less political...

Have you seen the current show? That’s pretty much exactly what it is.You show the current President and acknowledge them, but focus more on key decisions made by key Presidents.
I’d love to have an AA of King George III tell us what he thinks of America every 4 years.
It's more that on one hand you would have had little girls seeing a female animatronic in the attraction for the first time. Inspiring a new generation.Would you be saying this if a different person won last night?
Semi related but the original Muppet Vision 3D should be on Main Street or something, it needs to be preserved in some formSuddenly hoping for MUPPET VISION to head to Disney+ & HOP announced to close in January. Transforming into Great Moments in History with the Muppets.
This is the best possible outcome IMO. I truly think this could be why the Monsters announcement was held.
Not to pick on you specifically but I think the "They should put MuppetVision on Disney+" argument is very dumb. MuppetVision isn't like Captain EO where you're just watching a film that's being presented in a theme park, you're going into an attraction which just so happens to have a film as its main element. MuppetVision is made to be presented in the MuppetVision theatre with several animatronics, a live performer, and multiple surrounding effects.Suddenly hoping for MUPPET VISION to head to Disney+ & HOP announced to close in January. At this point, I have more important things to care about than a great Theme Park Attraction. Like if there even will be a theme park in a few years. Not to pick on you specifically but I think the "They should put MuppetVision on Disney+" argument is very dumb. Putting the film on Disney+ would neither be preserving the attraction or doing it justice.
That's great and all but this is a discussion board for theme parks, so that's probably the main thing you'll see discussed hereAt this point, I have more important things to care about than a great Theme Park Attraction. Like if there even will be a theme park in a few years.
The thing you said about film being it's main element ... is the sole reason why the attraction is near impossible to update & IMO is likely why it has a target on it's back. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one.Not to pick on you specifically but I think the "They should put MuppetVision on Disney+" argument is very dumb. I don't think it really needs updated though? It definitely wasn't designed around being updated. Nothing about the presentation necessarily feels dated, and Disney certainly maintains older attractions. Despite all that it has been updated even, the Waldo wall projections are fairly new. That's about like Disney going back and adding new effects to old dark rides. The thing you said about film being it's main element ... is the sole reason why the attraction is near impossible to update & IMO is likely why it has a target on it's back. You mean "that nondescript ride somewhere that maybe is [themed like] a haunted house or whatever"?He can read through the quarterly spreadsheet for 10 minutes before sending us to our HM LL.
