Who actually screams at the stage and who are they screaming at?
42 onward have all had angry audience reactions with it getting worse with each new office holder. I stopped going after the last time we went when one family had to be escorted out (to be fair it was mostly just the Dad with mom and kids looking horrified).

Just to be clear, I think the majority of people that go in there try and be respectful no matter how they feel about the current office holder. The problem is even a small group who can't help themselves really mars the whole experience and I would be willing to bet that most guests don't want that in their face on a vacation. I know I don't and if I want the joy of dealing with unstable and disrespectful partisans, I can literally do that any other day of the year when I am not trying to enjoy myself on an expensive trip to a place meant to escape reality for a bit with my family.

Illuminations - destroyed.
EPCOT Future world - destroyed.
Dinoland USA - destroyed.
Rivers of America - destroyed.
Tom Sawyer Island - destroyed.
Liberty Square Riveboat - destroyed.
Muppets 3D - destroyed.
Hall of Presidents - destroyed.

I am sure I am missing some but the list is growing.
Change happens. We don’t have to like all of it, but change has to happen if Disney is going to keep guests coming back year after year. We’ve lost a lot of “classic” attractions since 1971, and that’s okay.

Illuminations ran for 20 years. That’s an incredible run for a nighttime spectacular, but people were ready for change.

Dinoland has always been DAK’s low point. Getting a new family dark ride instead of those carnival games and replacing Dino with a more popular attraction is a good move.

ROA is underutilized capacity. It does significantly contribute to the vibes of MK, but most guests would rather have new Cars experiences than a boat they don’t ride and an island they don’t go to.

HOP doesn’t connect with a majority of guests. Some find it too political, most find it boring. Something else can revitalize that space and eat up more guests.

Even MuppetVision, as much as I love it, is a 30 year old 3D show. These things have life spans.

We complain on these forums about Disney’s lack of capacity then we criticize them for how they choose to add it. I would love new builds as much as the next guy, but I think addressing the underutilized corners of these parks, especially MK, is a solid strategy too.

Any word on when the Hall of Presidents will be going down for the figure move? I'm sure it can't take that long to move two AAs around.

I was wondering how they'll do the roll call now... but upon watching it again on youtube and seeing how they introduce the current president, I don't think they need to change anything. Format works fine with announcing Trump in the line up and then having him do the speech.

For our other president that served non-consecutive terms, Grover Cleveland... I want to learn more about him...

About Grover Cleveland- "He loved food and hated exercise—he once said "Bodily movement alone . . . is among the dreary and unsatisfying things of life""

Heh.
So it seems there’s a strategy here to be elected twice non-consecutively 😂

When I was there in 2023, there were some people who were, to put it kindly, very unhappy and loud when the current president was speaking. When I went in 2018, there wasn’t any booing and screaming (I quietly turned to my wife and did an eye roll when the at the time president started speaking but nothing audible since I didn’t want to disturb others- what a concept), although the theater was pretty empty compared to 2023.

Crazy how these were all in the last couple of years. A lot of these I thought would be at WDW for my entire lifetime- my first visit in 2004 had all of them, my second to last trip in 2018 had all of them, and my last in 2023 had most of them. Wild.

I've seen Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden in the theatre. Nothing sticks out in my memory when I saw Bush and Obama... but what I do recall when I saw Trump was that my party was surprised that no one shouted out anything during the show. When we saw Biden, a few people shouted out and we shooshed them along with a few others. Obviously it depends on who is resting their feet at the time for each show...

More importantly I remember seeing Lyndon Johnson's electric toothbrush in the foyer when we saw Obama and then being sad it was gone when we saw Trump. Always enjoy looking at all the arrifacts theybhave on display.

So how come Animation Courtyard and the Stitch's Great Escape building are allowed to keep sitting there taking up space?
They shouldn’t be allowed.
I wish Disney would put something in those underutilized spaces, along with Wonders of Life.

I don’t know why they haven’t. I’m sure WDI is looking at those spots, they just haven’t been able to get anything Green Lit (except maybe Monsters in Animation Courtyard)

Thanks for adding! One of these, "Superstar Limousine" needed to be destroyed!

And lets not forget the worst mistake in Disney parks history - Disneyland's people mover destroyed for the failed Rocket Rods, that failed and closed and literally destroyed the people mover track such that it could never be used again and remains as a sad reminder.

Could the destruction of Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, Liberty Square Riveboat be WDWs Rocket Rods?

Only time will tell..

I feel certain it will... and a Road Rallye is just wrong in that quadrant of the opark on so many levels.... Put it in DHS where Pixar has a larger presence and it can be easily encapsulated and not impact the themes of three different areas....
Along with the sound pollution of the Road Ralley while you are waiting in line at the Haunted Mansion....that will be charming. lol
