Being a smoker, I've had plenty of time to observe the dinosaur in dino land. I always wondered how some kid has not cracked his head open before. The dinosaur is awkwardly shaped and makes for a tough climb. Parents seem to encourage their child to climb the dinosaur to snap a pic when they could easily fall and break an arm or leg. Some people lose all common sense when they walk through the gate.
The Dino by the merch area near the exit of dinosaur is especially large! Yet I see parents let their tykes climb that sucker all the way to the head, I'd shudder to think what would happen one day if someone fell the wrong way.

When I was a kid, there were monkey bars right over concrete. No wood chips, no sand, nothing. Kids are better than you think.

I think the difference here is that there is going to be a lot of traffic around that area, which also means cast members are frequently going to patrol the area. The dinosaur is off in a little nook.

Perhaps there are hidden barriers....bit like on Kilimanjaro Safaris' - just this time to hold back the kids and teens rather than the wild animals.

BINGO! I checked this specifically while there a couple of weeks ago. The lowest part of the wall is chest high (I'm 5' 9"), so about 4' 6" tall. most of the wall is closer to 5' tall. If you're dumb enough to climb the wall, there's about a 20' drop directly on the other side. If you attempt to launch yourself at the tracks, be prepared to land on them at the weird angle you can see in the pictures. It would be about an 8' to 10' jump to get over to the tracks.

I'm not saying a teenager would never attempt it but, my motto is that "Stupid should hurt." Regardless of whether or not a train is coming, it's doubtful that anyone could get as far as the tracks without at least a little cure for their stupid.

Interesting, but I though that the fence was permanent and served this purpose. Does anyone know if that fence is permanent?

Stupid should hurt.

Too bad I'm so attached to JenniferS, 'cause this would be a perfect screen name.
