Guest Restraining Walls around 7DMT?

Nothing dangerous is even remotely within reach of guests. Sure a guest can scale some of the rock work or take a dive over a wall, but that's certainly not Disney's fault. I think a parking lot is probably more dangerous to unwatched kids than this attraction. No little ones will be capable of scaling that rock work, but they can certainly wander away from parents into oncoming traffic.

I'd actually suspect someone might drown themselves on small world before they hurl themselves in front of this roller coaster.

If subways can still exist in most of North America without even safety gates I think Disney has more than adequately covered their bases here. Really, those are just bigger trains, traveling much faster, with exposed electrical lines and no barrier in between you and a pit of doom. As far as Disney goes, guests seem to constantly throw themselves from cruise ships (not sure if this has yet happened on DCL), but no one seems to blame the cruise lines for stupid guests. If a safety rail is there and a guest decides to jump it, it seems like they are now wilful in their own fate.

The only thing of danger is guests tossing stuff, but this isn't the first time a ride vehicle has been below a guest overlook and it won't be the last. The area is significantly exposed to other people walking by, which should create enough social pressure to prevent people from being idiots (or at least if they do throw something, to be easily caught and banned from Disney).

Lets have a little faith in humanity on this one guys, and if someone does something stupid give them the old heave-hoe.

  • On August 18, 1994, a 6-year-old girl from Miami, Florida fell out of one of the ride's boats while it was in the loading area. Orange County authorities believe she was then struck by an incoming boat. The girl suffered a broken hip, a broken arm and a collapsed lung, but was expected to recover fully. The ride was closed for an inspection and re-opened the following day.[59]
Murphey's law is a heck of a thing. Am I blaming disney? No, but people have proven to be stupid at times so I wouldn't say that something like that is out of the question. Also a quick youtube search will show you subway accidents happen quite often.

Was it this? If so, then that is the entrance to the indoor portion of the queue.

Nah, those awnings are covered and themed now. It looked just like thi skeleton of one of the castle turrets. I don't know where the entrance signage will be, so I thought it could be for that. More walls would be cool.

They could just install laser perimeter controls. Trip a laser (like a garage door, just more powerful) and the ride shuts off.

Just visited this morning and I don't see how it would be possible for all but the most experienced climbers or a cat to get over any section of currently exposed rock work. It's tall. The bridge by be our guest is a different story but still difficult.

In addition to this in the front section of the ride it looks like there are not one but two different kinds of thematic fences making access to the track difficult and potentially ride stop activating.
