Your hyperbole was pretty far off.. hence her response. The monorail only passes within sight of the matterhorn.. not around it.. and not near any of the other things you mentioned.
It wasn't MY hyperbole. I was not the original poster.

Again I didn't mention any of it. But the monorail DOES travel completely around the Matterhorn and in front of it's a small world.

False.

The DLRR travels in front of/through small world. One can catch a glimpse of small world and a better glimpse of Matterhorn while riding the Monorail, but it in no way makes a complete trip around the mountain and it sure as heck doesn't travel in front of small world.

I don't mean directly in front of small world like the railroad does. But the monorail does travel right across the promenade form it's a small world. The monorail exists in the same environment as its a small world.

And yes the Monorial does travel completely around the Matterhorn.

I can't say I noticed the mirrors were missing last year. But I didn't look if you know what I mean.

The wall lights being sideways originally - when the lighting cues were spot on - gave the appearance when the 5th D doors first opened from shafts A-D of looking down an elevator. It was a very surreal effect.

One effect that was deactivated was a smoke effect behind the glass panels left and right. It kind of gave an infinity effect and made the room feel much larger.

The biggest reasons for the change of style were a) cost and b) tracking issues. As we know, the AGVs in Orlando are very clever and very expensive. The ride vehicles elsewhere are "dumb". That is they don't drive theirselves, have no internal power or batteries to recharge and don't need to be tracked. The WDW AGVs position can be lost from the RCS if a park map or litter falls above the buried cable. This causes an E stop and is not infrequent. Removing the autonomous guided part of the vehicle in DCA onwards gave better reliability but at the expense of show. There were other solutions but like we saw with Imagaintion better to remove the problem than to fix it.
I'm guessing it's all in here? ;)

I don't think I've seen this one yet actually.
It was originally called the Hollywood Backlot and is now called Hollywoodland. But that doesn't excuse the sightline issues that are currently present in that park around the Tower of Terror. Those issues are why I knock Cars Land down a peg for best themed land in the country. You can see a huge attraction that's unrelated looking in the distance.
When it comes to best themed land in the country it's easily Diagon Alley. Animal Kingdom's Africa is another one I've seen tossed around here, was that you?

That might change next year with Avatar and then again with Star Wars.

What did it say? Deleted now.

Krakatau Josh - Say I have this tower, a terrifying tower, and galactic mercenaries are invading. How do I defend it?

Universal Orlando replies: Sell your stock, buy ours and send a message that those galactic mercenaries are ruining history.

Then the site that shall not be named replied to universal ... You are the company that erased JAWS, Back to the Future, King Kong and Hanna-Barberra, right?

At no point in time did the Monorail make a complete trip around Matterhorn. It passed it, sure, but it did not circle around it.

A few seconds later, you can see the Monorail does not really touch small world's mall. The old motorboat cruise, maybe. The cars driving down Harbor are closer to the Monorail.

yes he is, but I do have to say I was disappointed in the attraction. It was basically a carbon copy of Hollywood's tram version with the kong face at the end.

According to these pictures the monorail goes right in front of the Matterhorn and I'm assuming around it too. But this is getting a bit off topic don't we think ;)

The Monorail travels around all sides of the Matterhorn. Sure not in one continuous circle. But the mountain is completly surrounded by monorail beam. There is no way to get to the Matterhorn without passing under a Monorial beam and there is almost nowhere you can view the mountain from without seeing the monorail tracks adjacent to it.

You are arguing semantics and that is not the point. The original point was that the monorail runs through the Matterhorn themed area which it certainly does.
