With the new ride replacing ToT in DL should we expect a similar change in WDW? I honestly haven't been paying attention and haven't heard the rumors or plans. Anyone?

I really like the Twilight Zone theme and hope they keep it. Of course I grew up watching it and it's kind of nostalgic for me.

A Disney executive recently state that there are no plans to do this in WDW. Whether those plans change is another matter.

I think we will see something Guardians themed come whenever they do updates to Epcot. I also would love to see them bring the Tron coaster over here to Epcot because that ride is amazing

Someone just posted a rumor in the upcoming projects thread saying that the Tron coaster will replace the speedway in MK. Don't know if that rumor has any credibility.

Tron should be Epcot or bust. Tron would cast a shadow on SM. I don't think Disney would allow that. At least, I hope they don't. Besides "Tron" is already in Epcot. If anything I'd expect TronTrack to become fullontron-themed once the sponsor deal expires. Epcot can have Tron if it must. MK doesn't need it. I hope that rumor has zero credibility.

I'd rather see Guardians in MK but I don't think that's happening either.

See I wouldn't want Guardians in MK, I think MK should be more reserved for classics so as much as I want Tron I don't exactly want to see it in MK either...Though I'm perfectly fine with the speedway going away

Wouldn't Tron be more of a Tomorrowland ride though? Maybe replace Stitch if they could. However, I am sure they don't have the room there.

Stitch I think has to be replaced by another dark ride and while I agree Tomorrowland is a good fit for Tron I think it's better suited for Epcot and the World of Tomorrow theme if it ever gets upgraded. I'm also not sure if there is enough room in Tomorrowland whether replacing Stitch or the Speedway for the Tron Coaster

I just feel a rollercoaster would be out of place in EPCOT. It's not really a park that is set up or themed for thrill rides.

True, but Disney isn't looking at what Epcot is today, but what they want Epcot to be. Whether we agree or disagree with their approach will be irrelevant to the masses.

Although Disney management's shortsightedness may come back to bite them. When taking a family vacation during the school year, our daughter's school makes us fill out a form to get permission to take her out of school. There has to be some kind of educational aspect to the trip or it won't be approved. If they decide to remove the educational aspects fully from Epcot, it could make it more difficult for families to plan trips at times other than summer.

There were Tron plans well before that.. Take the Tron Arcade for example that was supposed to come to Epcot that never did.

I remember we had to fill out a similar form. EPCOT was a big selling point. It may become to just another park if they do things like this. Its already started when they replaced the ride at Norway with the Frozen ride. I thought the pavilions were supposed to be about the countries not to promote a Disney movie.

By the way. I haven't ridden it and probably never will.

I'm still in the ToT in Orlando is safe camp. They have so many other areas they could re theme but even if they do I've been luck enough to ride it over 50 times...

I 100% agree. EPCOT and TRON have been soul sisters since birth, and Guardians of the Galaxy much better fits the category of science fantasy that Tomorrowland has become.
