Sure thing - touringplans.com and The Unofficial Guide would be one of several examples.

And for the DIS, this is their first time being given such early access, lets see how it changes them going forward. Of course, the large upcoming buy-out of Epcot and the corresponding room nights that the DIS is doing doesn't harm their case.

If you really think there are no strings attached to how Disney media works you are very naive.
Don't know where you are getting your information, but tp has a full media preview walk-through of Pandora from the twitverse. Did they just steal that from another site to add to theirs? I don't remember Len saying he was excluded from future media events.

I think the real question is: how successful does this ride have to be before they change their minds about cloning it in WDW?
Leave the Orlando tower alone. The original ride was much better then the copies and unlike DCA, which is already a mess in that corner of the park, Sunset and Hollywood Blvd are visually stunning and cohesive.

Oh trust me, I hope they do. I just also know how Disney thinks when they have a "hit" on their hands.

So the floor level and space inside this Tower of Terror showroom scene where you used to wave at the mirror...
photo+56.JPG

Has been physically replaced with this scene where the Guardians do stuff and talk to you about it...

What we haven't seen yet is what takes the space on the floor level and area where this used to happen. It was a space that was physically much deeper than the "Wave At The Mirror" scene. What has replaced this area in Mission: Breakout?

...I am ecstatic to finally see characters at Disneyland Resort besides precious Disney Princesses™, toons, singing animals, and Star Wars...
Yeah, all those decades of "Disney" characters...what were they thinking??? :D Just kidding. Guardians, Marvel and 80% of SW are not for me, but I know most of my family is going to love it all, and that makes me smile. And, I hate to admit it, but this may be a huge step toward DCA really finding its identity.

If that identity is slowing becoming a "studios" type park, then you may be on the right track. I think we're starting to witness the slow transition from "California" into "Studios". Don't be surprised if in 4-5 years time, they consider changing the name of the whole park.

I am even more confused now about how this makes any sense.

It's an exhibition of the collector's artifacts brought to the resort for display, right? But then how do you explain what you see in the background of each screen or why rocket is surprised when you're looking over the resort? And how does it make any sense to call the elevator a gantry lift?

Another good preview of the Rocket animatronic. Very impressive! Nice to see them adding animatronics in to rides that never had them.

Paul Pressler would like to speak to the bean counter who approved this expensive little guy!...

You know what's funny?

Try not to overthink it and just have fun. There's also a pink castle and a giant Swiss mountain at the end of Main Street USA, but just wave at the horseless carriage putt-putting by and don't worry about it.

You are seeing areas of the fortress... thing... that are supposed to be off limits to visitors. Perhaps Rocket didn't know where the exhibition was located and that was his first time seeing outside since being captured? Makes sense.

Oh, of course. Good explanation.

But that is a lot of space considering the size of the building. And what is up with that huge beam of light?

Other than the Hollywood Backlot (undeniably a part of California), which barely even resembles a backlot or anything a studio would offer aside from the few set pieces and the animation building, what makes you say that?

According to the refurb calendar, next week the Animation attraction closes for a six week refurbishment. Coincidence?!? :D

Or maybe it's just new carpet and a deep clean. It needed it the last time I was in there.

So how long did it take you to find that 2 year old link?

So because it is not the current media event... you are saying it never happened? Because that's the conversation - Disney's behaviors, not just right now. And no, Disney's social media outreach is not newer than two years old.

Judging by the renaming of Hollywood Pictures Backlot to Hollywood Land, changes currently happening at DHS, and the rumored plans for DSP, I seriously doubt that's the direction they're taking.
