Found this to be relevant since there is no dedicated forthcoming Marvel Land thread...
Borrowed this from MiceChat. They have a whole article on the future hopes of DCA in regards
to Marvel.

Will that north plot of land really be used for Marvel? Do we know if the Mickey dark ride is going in that space?

And beyond the coaster, Mission: Breakout, retail and character meet and greets, is there anything else Disney wants to do with Marvel in the park?

Nothing definitive at this point...but if I remember rightly, that upper area was earlier rumored to be part of Marvel land. How the two parts of the land will connect though is still up for debate. They can still squeeze a Mickey ride in somewhere.

That's what I was thinking. Didn't they report the Mickey ride as a rumor? Or am I imagining things and it came only from other sources? As far as I remember, there was never a follow up saying Mickey was scrapped or being planned for a different area.

I'm less concerned about how they connect, than what's the point? The real substance of Marvel is on the opposite end of Hollywood. Unless there's another ride coming that we haven't heard about.

If memory serves...we were going to have GOTG, The Captain America hybrid-coaster, and there was something Iron Man related. Which I'm hoping doesn't just mean a clone of HK's clone of Star Tours. I don't know. Its mostly speculation at this point (minus the obvious Tower refurb and coaster plans). But if and when it does come to pass, it will further alter and dilute DCA in the process.

Hollywood land (or a Buena Vista extension with rerouted Trolley) should include Hollywood Blvd and the backlot. Marvel Land should include everything from the GOTG area, expansion pad behind GOTG and I guess the transit hub could belong to either, probably Marvel Land.

Please no Iron Man clone. Looks awful. If they close Star Tours and open Iron Man that would be a downgrade.

That might be too choppy for their tastes...but they'll do whatever they can to justify still having both probably.

On paper it may seem kind of choppy but if they can get clever (like how everything at Disneyland is butted up against each other and no one seems to complain) then I think it could work. If they don't like choppy then they have to figure out what the Hyperion is doing in the middle of the whole thing. Sure they can redo the exterior and facade but playing Disney animated musicals in the Middle of Marvel Land? Don't get wrong, still better than the thought of revolving Marvel musicals. I guess they could do some sort of Marvel stunt show ? But oddly enough that would still Make more sense in Hollywoodland.

A Marvel musical show...hahaha oh man...that would be worth seeing.
I remember at one point someone suggested they could connect the two lands behind the Hyperion...so who knows. Really at this point, I think we just need more concrete confirmation its all actually happening. I expect maybe something at this years D23.

I recall reading (where, I'm not sure ... maybe MiceChat rumor) that the two lobes of the bifurcated Marvel Land would likely be connected by the strip of backstage behind the Twi ... uh ... GOTG. Not being a Marvel kind of guy, I'm hoping that the entire backlot area doesn't get consumed for this.

I think it would be great to turn left off the business facades of Hollywood Blvd, into a residential neighborhood anchored by a Mystic Manor style attraction based on an aging silent film star and his/her collection of silent movie props and costumes. Yeah, that would be too many collection based attractions, but a pig can dream.

Lol ya that would be something.

Yes this years D23 should be good one. Star Wars land details (and hopefully an official and better name) and Marvel Land announcement. I'm guessing we probably won't hear about the Frozen ride or Mickey.

At most we could get an announcement of Frozen/Arendelle expansion. Though I don't expect work to begin until SWL is done.

Wouldn't it be awesome if they completely caught us off guard and announced the BATB E ticket from Tokyo? Or just something that hasn't even been leaked at all?
