Martin, on a scale of 1 to 10, (1 being strictly a joke and 10 being integral story element) how much of a factor does the "Peter Quill visited Epcot as a kid" play into the new attraction?

To be quite honest, I've not been interested enough to find out. I've been more concerned with what's being done to the existing pavilion and the ride system and planning for the new attraction.

Thanks Marni. That is another missed opportunity imho, but it is what it is. I feel the same way about Tron. Tron should definitely be a roller coaster with dark ride elements to take it to the next level, but I'm still quite excited about it.

Not that explicitly. But when you say that an extra building is being built for a coaster. And then, GotG will be the IP going in UoE. It was kind of hard, for me at least, to not presume that it was definitely a coaster.

That's what I was thinking. Better fit in DHS as well but I guess they didn't want so many rides down at once.

I would imagine that the effects will be significantly better than what is in RnRc...rather than just some huge cut outs.

Hmmm. We will see. I think it's a bit unfair to automatically label any new indoor roller coaster a RnRC copy. Technology has advanced quite a bit since RnRC opened.

A lot of the references could be more thoroughly presented in the queue and then pop up occasionally on the ride itself.

If the queue is the entire UoE building, they'll have lots of potential for references.
