Okay wait, can someone list all (or most of) the elements of the ride? I feel like people on here have insider scoops. Knew this was gonna be a cool coaster but don't know much about it. I need reasons to get really excited rn lol.

And now, a little something I drew to illustrate the type of layout. This is purposely not fully accurate, clear, nor does it show elevation or exactly what track is connected to what. Nor does it come with huge letters.

And no stealing or copying. This is a WDWMagic exclusive and if I see it elsewhere I’ll know where it’s from!

Purposely missing some details of course

Xandarians heard that Epcot was a showcase of technology, they show up to show off their galaxarium featuring the creation of the universe.

GotG show up and high jinks ensue, save the universe, yada yada.

Backward launch (oops! probably means going back in time to the Big Bang).

End up in the gravity building which has lots of loops so that your vehicle can turn to face the feature in the loop.

80's 70's Rock 'n Roll.

The end.

Don't forget the projection domes, those will probably house some cool scenes

What is interesting about the actual experience s that I feel like we have gotten some very divergent opinions from insiders ranging from it will be meh to it will be a top notch E-ticket. I'm not sure how much of that opinion is influenced on various factors:

1. how well the ride fits with Epcot
2. toleration or appreciation of thrills
3. how much "show" there is and how effectively it is done. Likely going to be little to know physical sets while on board but potentially a lot of projections.
4. how long the ride will be
5. how the "vehicle having controlled turning towards how elements" schtick is used

etc.

We know only a basic outline of the ride premise and even that might not be correct. But we know virtually nothing about the details of the ride itself beyond mechanics. I'm intrigued and hopeful, but nervous.

I think a lot of the hate it gets is because of how poorly it will fit the park. From everything we've seen/heard, it looks to be a solid attraction. Opinions will vary for everyone based on their connection with the source material, previous expectations, taste in coasters, etc.

The music is integral to the movies, and the soundtracks are fantastic. I can't imagine the ride not incorporating music in some way, if the ride is supposed to mimic the movies in some way. There is very deliberate use of music in the movies. I mean, "you shouldn't have killed my mom and squished my walkman."

I agree that it's integral to the movies, but the ride is probably going to be about 2 minutes long. You can't incorporate a bunch of songs in 2 minutes. You could maybe play parts of 3 or 4 songs, but that's about the extent of it (trying to fit more would lead the clips to be so short than it would be essentially pointless). That's why I suggested it's more likely you'll hear them in the queue or as part of a preshow.

Beyond that, licensing that music will likely be incredibly expensive for something that's going to run hundreds of times every day. Generally you'd have to pay royalties every single time the song plays, although they might be able to reach some other agreement.

I'm not saying they won't do it. I'm just saying there are several factors to consider.

70s music with a bit of 60s thrown in. I don't think there's been a single song from the 80s on either GotG soundtrack.

I know dual load is a lot better for capacity sake, but I am really excited to see what the station actually looks like for this. Dual load stations obviously have to be substantially bigger than single load to it'll be interesting to see what approach is taken. The exception to this rule is BTM but no way they're going to do that.

The Tron load station is super cool: View attachment 511100

I also wonder what approach will be taken for getting people to the load. Elevator preshow, stairs, ramps, etc. There are elevation changes in this concept, so that's interesting.

Tron load reminds me of Space Mountain's load / unload in Disneyland.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but apparently the monorail spiel mentions that this will explore the Big Bang as mentioned by many insiders.

Despite the IP inclusion, I think it’s cool that the Big Bang, which was to be the focus of the proposed/cancelled Universe of Energy replacement a while back, will still happen.

Good ideas never die at Disney, I suppose.
