What about Escape from Gringotts? Would it be similar to that?Cobras isn’t controlled. It’s either locked or free.

Bob saying that 4 SSE's can Fit into that Building? Whatever he is taking he took too much of it...Notice at the end of the video the "Planned Epcot artwork" was shown showing no major changes..
It's Vekomas version of that system. Just more coaster then show/story.What about Escape from Gringotts? Would it be similar to that?
In ride vehicle behaviour? That’s a good analogy. What about Escape from Gringotts? Would it be similar to that?
Cobra can also be rotated into specific directions though I believe (such as backwards), so wouldnt that make it controlled?Cobras isn’t controlled. It’s either locked or free.
I understood it was forward or backwards via mechanics, or free spinning via weighting.Cobra can also be rotated into specific directions though I believe (such as backwards), so wouldnt that make it controlled?
The fact that he still brought up the Epcot Spine work is interesting...it seemed more and more that the whole project would magically disappear. Does that mean we are looking at changes sooner rather than later?
It will be transferring the forward momentum ENERGY into spinning ENERGY?I understood it was forward or backwards via mechanics, or free spinning via weighting.
Energy will make your car go 'round. It will be transferring the forward momentum ENERGY into spinning ENERGY?
A "storytelling coaster"? Methinks they are trying too hard to sell this as something "new" and "hip" and "exciting". "New"? Sure. "Exciting"? Maybe. Anything else... not really.
It has been done before.I disagree - I think this is a substantial step forward. It essentially makes it possible for Omnimover-style attractions to also be high-speed coasters.!
It surprises me, too. A coaster train that looks like a coaster train? For Toy Story Land's flaws, at least they came up with an original (and IMHO painfully cute) coaster car.Ride vehicle design looks rather...plain. I’m actually really surprised at this. Reminds me of painted Journey Into Imagination vehicles.
I would guess that this is becasue the vehichle needs to be able to spin so you can't exactly have some wildly odd shape or very long car in order to accomplish this.Ride vehicle design looks rather...plain. I’m actually really surprised at this. Reminds me of painted Journey Into Imagination vehicles.
Well... he became a moron.I've never heard that story, thanks for sharing. How nice it must have been to be able to experience Walt Disney World back in the days when the CEO wasn't a moron that didn't care about the beauty of theme park design. Alas, what can one expect when the fans themselves are accepting and joyful of mediocrity?
Before EuroDisney imploded, Eisner wanted to ensure Disney set the cutting edge for family entertainment. This is why I think Eosner gets a bad rep. Many people, especially Defunctland fans, focus on the end of his tenure as CEO and see only negative effects on the parks. In reality he cared a lot and expanded the parks so much as CEO. Cutting Beastly Kingdom and greenlighting Disney's California Adventure were bad ideas. And while it was a financial disaster, Disneyland Paris is a beautifully designed park.
I seems that the spinning is only to orient you in a specific direction to view specific story scenes and the coaster moves along. It would not be a constant spinning, simply the ability to spin to change your facing directionLooks to be a fun ride but the spinning cars make it a hard pass for me, unfortunately. I can barely ride Primeval Whirl without wanting to hurl, I can only imagine how this will make me feel.
