I agree with that completely. I feel like even after 36 years and 4 refurbs later, there is still always something new to see on SSE. If you think back to all the original FW rides, they were so detailed, you couldn't possibly see everything in the ride the first time around. In a ride like GotG, the only real attraction is the thrill. I go to Disney for the emersion and the ability to experience the ride differently every time I go on it because of the extra detail. If I want the thrill, I can go to Six Flags. I currently have no need to ever go on M:S again because I can get that same thrill from an open-air spinny ride. But, I could go on LWTL everytime I visit Epcot.

Well said.

You're over simplifying.
Is the only real attraction to Tower of Terror the thrill?
Do you get the same thrill from a conventional free fall as you do from ToT?

Sightline complaints are becoming so stale. So, a guest sees a building in the distance, and they're reminded that they are in the middle of (gasp), EPCOT, or Magic Kingdom...etc! 😗
Space Mountain, Spaceship Earth and Tower of Terror could've been generic boxes too.

Instead, Disney spent the money to make them unique.
And they've become 3 extremely iconic buildings, arguably recongnized all around the world.

What's stale is people who keep defending Disney for lowering their standards and building a giant warehouse

Silver lining is that it will be easy to bulldoze when the time comes....

Clever, did you come up with that all by yourself?

The reason it would be easier to feel that way about Mission Space is the writing angle it has. Tower has more suspense and develoent than Mission Space does in most people's eyes who experience it. It has more of a tone and visceral challenge compared to Mission Space's direct training industrial atmosphere. Still above a spinning carnival ride but I can see why it is not to the same scale as other major attractions that feature a physical thrill and a more in depth rich story or atmosphere devlopment.

I agree with the sentiment here, though people really need to keep an open mind about GotG. To say that the only attraction to it is thrill when we know essentially nothing about the experience is nonsense.

Really well put. I go to the parks for mostly the emersion experience as well.
