Great stories...

When phantom opened (91)...it was a head banging mess of an arrow dynamics hybrid. Incorporating into the ravine like the legendary pippin/T-bolt was an interesting way of doing it...but the speed was way off. How often do you have block breaks BEFORE the loops?

Kennywood - and I know we’re off course - is just a collection of bygone and legendary rides. Noah’s ark is worth the trip alone...the jackrabbit (my first rollercoaster ever) has a belly drop that few can replicate. The switch track Racer - with the “touch points” - is now a one of a kind left...and the thunderbolts 1960’s redesign is one of the only bright spots in the dark period of amusement parks.

I highly recommend anyone who loves parks go or read up on it...it’s living history.

And yes - nothing will ever top the beast.
A trip to Kennywood will also help you find a new appreciation for Disney's maintenance and cleanliness.

There’s a proposal for the box that’s not as vile as the DCA tower, but it still belongs in fantasy land.
The fact that it will attract more attention then the building it is connected to is bad enough, to say it belongs in Fantasyland makes me feel like it is just making a mockery of Epcot Center or at least the Imagineers are.

Kennywood is a treasure... Jack Rabbit is so fun and brilliantly designed, as is Thunderbolt. BUT... Steel Vengeance is an amazing machine and quite a giant upgrade from Mean Streak. Do check it out if you have the opportunity.

Sorry for contributing to thread derail. I think the Marvel logo is out of the discussion, right... so they can't do this:

If they say that the gravity building is not "IN" the theme park I think it could work.......
