This is the maintenance bay, right?

Couldn't get a picture, but something looked like it was ripped out where that blue line is. Figured it was just piping or something though.
The red square is completely gone.

A few bits on the back have been removed. Just things like covers for piping and awnings though. The areas behind construction walls inside the park are properly set up for construction now, with signage and those orange plastic fences up in front of what is now semi-overgrown foliage. They also haven't drained the water feature out front recently so now there's a nice big pool of standing water in that area, which the mosquitoes are reportedly thrilled by.

The construction walls out front have the completed group paintings and some spray paint art from the current festival. Unless they leave that art up or repaint the walls, you'll see paint left over on the walls.

There's been some hints on the other site that ride system would entail the ride vehicles drifting. Obviously just rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.

Hopefully they can make the sensation better than Mine Train’s swaying.
Drifting would be neat. There really aren't any of those out there. There's 2 Mack rides, "E-Motions" that had that. Apparently one closed and the other had the movements disabled. And then Premier was supposed to build one in Dubai but the tracks been rotting in the desert for several years now and is ruined. Drift coasters don't really have a good reputation so far.

I guess that would explain the mentioned issues with the ride system so far.

Rotting in the desert? Maybe someone should warn the Air Force about this...

I should've been more specific. It's in Dubai being subjected to sandstorms. The track looks like it's in write off condition and there hasn't been any movement on site for over 6 years now. Basically 6 years of sandblasting.

Also, I'd like to take a trip out to the boneyard one day. I think it could be kinda neat.

For the new Guardians ride, are they expanding the energy building somehow? There was a report a few days ago that indicated the new ride was going to be one of the longest indoor roller coasters in the world. But even with the size of Energy, I have a hard time thinking they can fit a coaster that big without doing some type of expansion of some sort.

Tied with that, wasn't there some permits made to move the drainage canals? Does that have something to do with this expansion? If so, I wonder how it will manifest itself.

There is a brand new show building that will be built out beyond energy that will hold the actual ride for the most part, the new and old will connect. The current building will mainly be queue and load/unload.

It would have been nice if they featured more than one section of track that utilized the swinging cart.

Let hope this GOTG coaster “feature” adds to the story of the coaster, if they still care about that.

That said, I think Peter Quill peed in the Imagination bathrooms in the 80s. So I guess that makes GOTG a good fit for UoE.

From what I've seen on Twitter, Quill won't even have the old Imagination loop left in there anymore.

I've been trying to find out if the old loop is actually gone now. Last I saw was from 2 weeks ago.

Sad if true. I made a “visit” there in October and the BG music was still classic.
I was there over Christmas and it was still there. The first mention I saw of it ending was last month on here and then I saw on Twitter about 2 weeks ago.
I was joking. Who cares if Quill visited there? Will that make the roller coaster about ENERGY?
You know it’s the Energy pavilion. (was) 🙁
I think we all knew it was a joke. It'll be interesting in seeing how they'll twist the story of this ride to fit Epcot. And by interesting, I expect a bunch of questionable reasons in the same line of "Quill visited Epcot!". Like...come on, can't you guys do better then that?

I assume so
Interesting to see if it launches level across or up at an angle enough to clear the road. Either way, it will be different than most indoor coasters (like RnRC and the old Outer Limits Flight of Fear at KI) in that it is not launching on the ground then immediately going up into some sort of loop. This one could actually drop first upon entering the main building.
