Geez. They built TDR faster. And is was built on a Sea.
It's roughly comparable to the RnRC gravity building. From Blog Mickey...
"We’ve heard that the gravity building for the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster will be a massive 11 stories tall, and that the ride system will be unique for a Walt Disney World roller coaster."
I think this sounds like it could be awesome...
since the Energy building is right next to the parking lot, it would HAVE to be visible from the parking lot...within the park they can control some sightlines, but outside in the parking lot it would be hard to hid an 11 story building... but who cares if you can see it from the parking lot...I am more concerned with how it integrates within the actual park....I really hope that this isn't going to be visible from Future World or even the parking lot
Probably better than this......(B)ut who cares if you can see it from the parking lot...I am more concerned with how it integrates within the actual park....
Same here. I'm hoping it has some sort of theming so it won't be like a closer and more visible Soar'in building (giant blue box).Well from inside the park is way more important. But I'm just saying I hope it just doesn't look like they plopped down a giant warehouse on the edge of the park.
The Guardians ride at DCA is far and away the most meta thing WDI has ever done. To hell with it, give me Peter Quill at 80s Epcot. The old Energy murals. Dinosaur robots. Dreamfinder cameos. The one true EPCOT typeface.
I thought it was a onmimover
At 110'...
Here is the building from ground level near the UoE building. It's the green wire corner.

From the monorail. Orange is the connecting building.

Well hopefully we don't see a corner from the park. That would suck.At 110'...

Edit: an UNTHEMED corner. Hopefully we don't see an unthemed corner from the park.
Soarin is the worst to me. Its shape and color make it MORE conspicuous to me, not less. If it were just a building, I'd notice it less. You can see plenty of the sides and backsides of FW buildings from World Showcase. Every time someone complains about the fully architecturally designed Swan and Dolphin being seen from WS, I tell them to turn around and look at the big ol' slab of TestTrack building hulking over Mexico.

My biggest problem with Swolphin is that they frighten me. Look at one of the Swan's eyes. Pure evil.
Go Away Green wouldn’t work very well against the sky. Also it's backwards, the soarin building is ugly, also why not paint the building go way green ,like the Indiana jones ride building

The forced perspective of the Eiffel Tower is completely ruined by the swans. You can see plenty of the sides and backsides of FW buildings from World Showcase.
