I can't disagree - The story falls apart once you get on the actual ride. And there's so much in the queue, it's overload.
This is people like THEZach thinking they are soooo smart and clever. I'm sure the 1200 page book on the backstory for this ride will be announced soon, at the low, low price of $99.99 ($5 discount for Disney+ subscribers).
Stitch's Great Escape also had a direct English to Galactic lettering system way longer ago.
Not to mention Futurama did, too.

Songs would have to be 1988 and earlier that Star Lord would recognize. So several guesses. I'm going up tempo.

Every year around the start of Christmas season, I wait until it's really quiet and then I just play the opening chords of Wonderful Christmastime just to hear my husband's anguished cries.

I think all the songs are good at best. There is nothing in there that really matches the energy perfectly.
