Thanks. I don't know everything, but what I do know is that the general public has responded to MM+ with overall rave reviews. That alone should speak volumes to the difference between hardcore fans and the general public, even if there is some c ground between the two.

Have they really? Because according to the people I know in Celebration, casual guests who have used MM+ constantly complain about the stress of advanced planning for such a complicated program.

Remember, Disney considers the WDW version of MM+ to be a failure and isn't rolling it out to any of the other parks. The DL version will be heavily modified. Shanghai DL just opened with the old paper FP system.

I wonder which ones right...

The really ironic and sad thing is that guardians of the galaxy is such a perfect fit for Florida's more comic booky tomorrowland and would be a better fit for the land then half of the current attractions there.
Can't be done. Management needs their parking spots and actual expansion is too expensive don'cha know

I definitely agree. That is what made Disney great. It comes down to money these days. They spent $450M or something crazy like that to build FLE. It's probably one of the most beautiful sections of any domestic Disney parks, but it lacks rides. If they added another E ticket it would have added significantly to the already large budget. They could have added another ride and skimped on rock work or the queues of the rides but that's not a good answer either. I think of Transformers at uni as an example. I'm not trying to make this a universal vs Disney debate, but rather pointing out the difference in priority of theme vs adding rides. We would be killing Disney for building something like that.

I'm just wondering why all these new lands seem to only have 2 or maybe 3 rides. Carsland, Avatar, TSL, SW Land, both Potter Lands, etc...Seems like once the land is built it would be easier/cheaper to add additional rides to it.
"Another" E Ticket in NFL? I think they need to have one there in the first place before they can build "another" ;)

That's really what's lacking in NFL. Imo whenever there's a new land there should be at least one of those "wow that was amazing!!!" kind of rides. Look at WWoHP, Cars, Avatar, and SWL. Neither Mermaid nor SDMT fill that bill. If we got this in addition to those two rides exactly as they are I think the complaints would be far less.

Totally agree. As stated many times before, Frozen should've been an E-Ticket in an FLE phase 2.
That also works. They're doing it in Disneyland...
Sarcastic question, serious answer: he's almost certainly an X-Man. And actually, he wouldn't be that much of a stretch for Universal's aesthetic ...
I really hope they do something with him.

MM+ is Disney's Intellilink.

I knew it was seen by the company as a major failure for financial reasons. I've also been there when the system has had issues, so I know complaining about it happens. But I could've sworn I heard a survey somewhere saying that guest response to the system when functioning properly was overwhelmingly positive. If anyone else knows what survey im talking about, I'd appreciate some more info on it.

Ok, I did some digging on the subject matter and found out that it was a quote from Bob Iger himself. I know some here will want to take that info with a grain of salt considering the source, but this Theme Park University article does a good job at explaining the differences between fans and the general public regardless of that. http://themeparkuniversity.com/disney/guests-rate-magicbands-90-satisfaction-rating/

HAAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAA. The same CEO that hasn't been clear to investors about the exact cost of MM+ and why it hasn't produced the increase in revenue he stated. The same CEO that hasn't been clear to investors over why the entire Shanghailand project has been mismanaged from the beginning - or when Shanghailand won't bring in the forecasts to the profit. The world likes globalisation and mega corps like Disney.
Speaking of Shanghai, could writing down losses/expanding the park subsume the budget for these Epcot projects?

If Deadpool can make $780 Million then Guardians 2 can pull in 1.3 Billion easy
Dead pool is not comparable. Just like ant man was not the avengers. They were very different movies and they were both good. I liked deadpool more because it was extremely humorous where guardians was less so. It was really the avengers meets the bad news bears.

Heck I would even call dead pool a really cool love story if your partner isn't easily offended or a prude, it was fairly romantic plot.

You missed the point entirely. Deadpool is the highest grossing R rated film of all time and one of the highest marvel related as well. Deadpool and Guardians were both considered long shots and "too weird" for the general public. Now that Guardians established itself with one of the highest grossing films in Marvel canon and there is brand recognition it's my belief the sequel will be a record setter especially with James Gunn at the helm.

I think most people like the magic bands and the phone app. FP+ is a little bit of a mixed bag. Some hate it, some love it and a lot don't even know the difference. I was amazed when I first saw the statistics on how many people never bothered to used FP. I always just assumed everyone else was using it too.

I know we'll never know for sure, but I wonder how much of the data mining aspect of MM+ has provided value. That seemed to be a big part of the discussions during the roll out but I haven't heard anything about it since. I know that's sensitive info so I doubt we'll really know for sure.
I think you summed up how people generally feel about MM+. Its such a complex network of parts that it's hard to believe that people would respond in the same way to every aspect of it. Do you know where you found the FP+ statistics? I'm very currious on what the statistics are on each individual item.

I know when they first rolled out the completed system Staggs was quoted as saying that there was a 40% increase in usage of FP+ over traditional FP. In discussions here in some thread about MM+ there were some stats thrown around that the original system was used by less than half guests and the average guest used less than 3 FPs per day.

Well you didn't need a fastpass with some rides. Didn't need one for pirates or mansion. People knew what times to hit it without a line.
