Guardians of the Galaxy would make sense in Tomorrowland if they were to keep the 1994 Comic booky Sci-fi theme but if they are reverting to a more classic 70s/80s Futurism/Sci-Fi theme then TRON makes more sense.

Ideally Guardians of the Galaxy would be built next to Star Wars Land in DHS where it belongs instead of Toy Story Land but alas

I guess i don't see how Tron fits Epcot better than GotG. Neither belong, but that ship has apparently sailed.

I wish both Guardians and Tron were going into Tomorrowland. The city in Guardians of the Galaxy would work well with that design sensibility. It has a very retro futurist look.

Oh duddeeee...

You shouldn't post opinion as fact. The D23 list is still being fine tuned but you may want to retract a lot of that.

Bold and incorrect opinions stated as fact are this guys MO. Move along, nothing to see here ;)

If they are just putting together a Star Wars project team now then we are at least 3-5 years from an announcement much less actual opening date for new rides, shows, lands and attractions
From 3 years ago (can't wait to hear the Star Wars announcement this D23- or at least the D23 in 2019):
Who said anything about DHS? There are absolutely no plans under consideration right now that would make "half of DHS a construction site". The only Star Wars projects under consideration are for the Disneylands in California, Japan, Paris, and Shanghai with a vague plan to import some of the more inexpensive stuff to WDW sometime in the far future (2020 or possibly beyond). New Fantasyland, my magic+, and Avatar Land are the big investments for WDW for this decade.

In the MK, yes, by @marni1971. This after the nameless one said it was confirmed by their multiple sources.

Difference is that Martin is saying Speedway is being overhauled while Those Others are saying Tron is taking the place of Speedway.

I am a little confused by this since yesterday he also said...

"It's one option under consideration yes."

The nameless one had the firm confirmation first for sure- as much as it pains me to admit. You could tell when it came down that Martin was pretty tentative/skeptical about it all but clearly he reached out to someone and got the new info.
Seems like this was lost on a few people.

That all said- this "who had it first" game is beyond petty. Being first on a Disney rumor and 50 cents will get ya a coke.

Looking more and more like GotG will be getting the Dynamic Attractions SFX Coaster ride system. And the Potter expansion getting the Mack Powered Family Inverted Coaster ride system.

They are doing the Tron coaster at MK instead plus Epcot might be getting the Ratatouille ride and a potential Brazil pavilion. They aren't going to invest more than that. Especially considering Disneyland is supposed to be getting:

-Marvel Land which is being fast tracked for DCA and has already been confirmed by Joe Rhode
-A complete redo and overhaul of Fantasyland which will most likely include the new stuff from Tokyo like Frozen e-ticket
-A new hotel & redo of Downtown Disneyland

They aren't going to green light much more than that especially when they have like 6 resorts worldwide that require TLC. I don't even think they will announce the Gondolas at D23 and you'll be lucky to hear about Epcot at all. If they are going to announce something TRON coaster for MK for the 50th. anniversary of WDW is what they will focus on and then they will announce new projects for Disneyland. Everything else is rumor mongering clickbait to drive up website traffic because they know disney fans are excited for D23 and will chomp at the bit for any possible iota of announcement hints. The same thing happens in video gaming just before E3 and everyone leaves extremely disappointed. Even the folks who went in with no expectations.

Oh, man... you didn't even quote the BEST PART:

Not the case.

You can say that all you want but I have been around the block with Disney and I know who years from now will be proven right. Hint: It's not going to be you

Alrighty. :)

How ridiculous. Funny how he's still parroting the same argument for his opinions: "Disney disappointed me before, so none of this will ever happen obviously!!"
