Without the time-killing uphill ratcheting, launch coasters are usually very short.

Nope. Both times we got 'stuck' (in two separate vacations), we were left in an incline position either with the spider scene and at the dragon scene, mid transition to the next scene.

They could always have a mid-ride full stop with a show scene (think Mummy at Universal) to pad to the run time. Would be a valid show element to have a reason to turn the cars to face backwards for the remainder of the ride (or some other show element to explain a change in direction of the ride vehicles to feature the powered spinning base).

That’s happened to me too. Sitting almost upside-down by Aragog for 10 min left me nauseated.

Its funny, I rode BTTF thousands of times; no problem with it.
I ride Simpsons once and it screwed up my back for a hour or so and I was only 21 when I first rode it.

Ironically, I get more ill at the simulators of Star Wars AND test trak.
The smell of burned hydraulics/silicon kills me.

I'm very glad I don't have motion sickness, I feel bad for those who do and want to go to Universal. FJ doesn't necessarily make me ill. It's just a bit rough and I'm ready to get off. lol. As much as I like it. I'm working on getting over my heights fear so being lifted up and down, etc. sometimes gets to me and then I'm ready for it to end. So I'm a weird case, lol.

Is it not? I guess there is always the possibility of modifications to this type of ride system.
