So over a bottle of wine (or a couple) and Christmas decorating last weekend we decided to go to WDW in two weeks...so ive been a busy bee making all the arrangements and surprisingly its all worked out except for Magical Express! The easiest thing seems to be the most difficult! Ive been calling trying to make Magical Express reservations since Monday but each time I call, apparently the system is down...and each day its getting closer and closer to the day we leave, hence no luggage tags (I was actually told that I should have made this reservation months ago, like most people do and it probably wouldnt work out with such short notice)...so out of frustration ive officially decided that we are taking a limo. Any companies people have had good experiences with? We used to use a dude, but ME must have put him out of business. :hurl:

We have used Quicksilver and have been very happy with them. We are using them again in April because we are staying at the Swan and we don't get DME.

Just a side note.....you do not have to have the special tags to use DME. Just be signed up for it. In Sept our tags never made it so we just had to go to the DME desk in the airport and describe our luggage and show them our claim tickets. No problem getting our stuff delivered!

Just keep trying DME...you'll get through.

Huh, thanks for the info! They made it sound like if you dont have the tags on your luggage before you leave your hometown you are out of luck and cant use ME at all...hmm...maybe ill retry making a reservation sometime next week (hopefully thats enough time for them to get the kinks out of their system) and then go from there if I make a limo reservation or not! Thanks again!

I used Quicksilver in February instead of DME and it was the best! No hassle with waiting in line or anything and the driver took care of our luggage. I will ABSOLUTLY do it again! Best part was on the return at the end of the trip, we had the same driver. We just got a town car because there was only 2 of us. Car was VERY CLEAN they were very professional polite and we paid for round trip upon arrival. We did end up tipping her VERY WELL on both trips.

Quicksilver gets 5 stars. I've used them several times and have never been disappointed. We've had towncars, vans and a limo. The drivers are courteous and very friendly. They help with the luggage and are very accomodating with the grocery stop. I prefer them to DME, since we have a schedule we keep, with DME you're on their schedule. I highly recommend Quicksilver.

EXACTLY.

Number one, the tags are just for the luggage, which has nothing to do with the bus ride.

Number two, as long as you have a reservation, that's all that counts. Paperwork is nice but not needed. The reservation in the only necessary part.

Since Day One, they've had a set procedure to deal with guests without the luggage tags (who still want their luggage to be automatically delivered), and Goofymom2 described it for you. It's no hassle at all.

We just used Quicksilver for our trip last week. It was nice, relaxing, and peaceful to have our own little ride in a stretch limo. The kids were totally jazzed. The car was clean and the refreshments on the way were much needed after such a harrowing day of fighting the airline and running thru airports.

One drawback to not using DME that I didn't really think of when making the decision to book a limo but definitely learned the hard way is if your flights are delayed on arrival and you don't get into Orlando Intl Airport until much later than your scheduled time you are subject to an additional $50 fee. We were originally supposed to arrive at 11:30 am. We arrived at about 4:00 pm. Boom. $50 more bucks making our total with gratuity about $330 round trip. It was totally not my choice or my fault we were late but it wasn't the driver's fault either. He had to hang around several hours past what he normally was scheduled to work so he had to be compensated. All's fair, I suppose. Still a big ol' bummer, tho.

Have fun!

Hi sweetpee,

I'm really glad you enjoyed our limousine and our service. I hope to have you as a client again and again.:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

As a side note to anyone reading this thread so there is no confusion where we stand as for the $50.00 rescheduling fee charged.
If the flight our clients are reserved with is late, doesn't matter how late (but it is the same flight originaly reserved) we will not add any fees at all. The above issue was a bit diferrent, the flights were changed two times on the same day; from Cont. 586, to Cont. 686, and finally Cont. 286 which was scheduled to arrive 4 hours later than the reserved flight (Cont 586); that is why we had a $50.00 rescheduling fee added, not because of the 4 hours delay.:) Well. I hope that clears things a little bit...

My best regards,

Gregory Nicolas.

Yep, says it right on the confirmation I received prior to departure. The limo was quite nice. I'm glad we did it because after the nightmare fighting our way to Orlando we needed the peace and quiet. :hammer:

I've always used Reserve Limo Service. They are in Canoga Park , California but will go anywhere. They even have connections to some of the clubs so there is no line waiting.
Do they go to Florida??? :ROFLOL: Because this thread is about Walt Disney World, not Disneyland.

I've never had the DME luggage tags and have used the service quite succesfully. I probably wouldn't use them anyway since I like to get my own luggage and make sure it gets on the bus with me.

Quicksilver were good for me. Great service (albeit a little tight for catching our plane home but that's our fault as much as theirs!) at a good price. I recommend you ask them for a 30 minute grocery stop to pick up supplies for your time in the world.
