I bet some people would like it.
Can some one clue me in on what's going on I've been away for 2 weeks. I belive we are still on the first set of hotels. We need to get the hotels finish.

Suggestions for new resorts
First the theme has to be interesting and not too complicated. A haunted resort theme is complicated to pull off. (For example, do you leave cobwebs up? That might communicate the wrong idea that Disney is not doing house cleaning.)
Here are my three suggestions for new resorts:
Alpine Ski resort
This would be both rustic to some degree and still have Lederhosen, Swiss carvings, great music. It can also be a great place for a restaurant.
Thai themed restort
The exotic land of Thailand, with ancient carvings, statues, and fountians. Again, it allows music and the food of the region to be presented. Exotic dancing can be part of it.
French Riviera themed restort
Here pictures of white sand beaches, French country style villas, and quaint cobble stone walkways. It also might be a great place to put french style fountains.
What do you think?

You are right. (And you made me laugh! :hammer: ) Exotic does not mean unclothed. But you are right that does sound bad in our present culture. What I meant was Cultural dance demonstrations. BTW... Thai woman dance fully clothed in masks. Remember Disney already has women already doing the Hula in only grass skirts. Hmmm... I wonder if that is exotic dancing!!

How about an "agrabah" type resort.... If you want I can start working for an idea for this resort and fill you in, in a couple of days........

I really liked the movie Aladdin, so I naturally like the idea. But there are some issues to examine.
I can imagine the resort somewhat like the Morocco section of Epcot. Here are the issues:
1) Politically, after 911 Muslim themed resorts are not as popular as before 911. I think if today Epcot was just adding the Moroccan section, there would be controversy. Are Jewish guests going to feel comfortable there? I think not. If the middle-east was in less turmoil, this might be more acceptable, but with people blowing up other people, this might not be looked on favorably.
2) Culturally, if it is like the Moroccan area, the Moroccan themed restaurant is not the most popular at Epcot. Even the traffic through the Moroccan area is less than other areas. Western culture is just different than Arabic culture. It is a little too unfamiliar to western tastes. Remember we want people to stay at this resort.
I still like the idea, but this might not be the right timing and there are issues that need to be overcome before an Aladdin themed resort can be built.
But keep on rubbing that lamp!!

These are good statements but I don't think it would be a problem because people don't come over to a resort and think about politic issues, and for jews and americans not feeling comfortable there, I wouldn't say that because it doesn't present arabics as terrorist group, it's a make up land that happens to be in the middle east....

we have like two people that just start to post ideas and every thing is getting confused.This is a group project if you want to help just say so and we( the other members of the group will deside if we need another member. since i noteced that Nemo Rocks haven't been around in awile you can help us for now.
We already have a World Showcase themed ressort that wannabewalt is in charge of the construction of that hotel(wannabeWalt we need to finish) and we have the Giza beach resort. and we have a Hollywood themed hotel.
so Disney fan, Wannabe Walt, Sir and Nemo we need to finish the hotels for phrase1 ASAP.so we can start phrase 2

I am really busy with a lot of stuff right now and probably will be for a while, so if I don't post...don't think I've left! I read the new posts almost every day but dont have time to post. I will soon post the finished hotel though!
It's yours but this is a group project so it's really your hotel theme idea not your hotel. Do you get my drift? That's great can't wait for you to finish the touch ups.

The SC's largest will be Mexico
The NC's largest will be Canada
The WC's largest will be China
The EC's largest will be France
Not every section will have a restaurant. The United States of America section will be the largest. It, however, won't have housing. It will have the Food Courts, Shopping, Themed Pool, a few restaurants, Play Areas, and a Bar. The food courts will have: Deli, Pizza, Meat and Chicken, Salads, Burgers and Hotdogs, and Drinks. The shops will be: Disney's World Travel Agency (travel info about countries), World of Disney (large Disney Store), and World Tour (country themed souveniers). The pool area will be themed to the Great National Parks of the USA. The pool be themed to the Everglades National Park. The hottubs will be themed to Yellowstone National Park. And the Spa will be themed to Smokey Mountains National Park. The pool will be surrounded by Evergreens, Swamps, Marshes, and etc. There will be real animals that are at the park. They wouldn't be in cages, but they would, somehow, be kept in a certain area. the birds will be free-flying thought, except there will be a Net over the area so they can't get out. One of the hottubs will be filled and filtered by a "hotwater spring". Another will have a "Gyser Pit" that erupts every 10-15 minutes to refresh the water. The third hottub will have a Waterfall poaring into it from a large cliff. The waterfall will hit an area that the people cant get to and then filter and fill the tub. The Spa will be a large Chalet or Cabin. When you go inside, the windows have murals in them to make it look as though you are looking out over the Smokey Mountains. There will be fog on some of the mountains. Maybe, we could have Video Screens instead of murals so that the smoke can appear, move, etc. and birds can fly by and the whole Natural works. That would be cool!

but won't it be way too many rooms? I think we should down size the resort a little but overall very good job!:sohappy: :sohappy:

Too many rooms??? haha! :lol: Each country would have about 50-100 rooms, giving a total of 1400 rooms (if each country had 100). Really, for a Deluxe resort and as big as this one is...it isnt that many rooms! As of right now, I have no further plans for more countries. If this hotel would be VERY popular and either the resort needs a new hotel, or a hotel needs an expansion, I would be willing to add on. The countries I would add would be ITALY, GERMANY, BARBADOS, SOUTH AFRICA, and SERBIA.

As of right now, I have no further plans for more countries. If this hotel would be VERY popular and either the resort needs a new hotel, or a hotel needs an expansion, I would be willing to add on. Sounds cool! I would be interested in staying...what is the price range again? lol jk:hammer: I am interested in doing a Fantasmic show at the Mist Mountain theatre in Adventureland too.
