Great Movie Ride one of the lowest ranked attractions at WDW (Condé Nast)

GMR has a rabid niche following but GMR is a shadow of its former self and can be boring in spots. Similar in most ways to the fate of Horizons.

I think sometimes people are more attached to ride systems than overall guest satisfaction as attractions age.

The problem starts with the very idea of ranking all of the rides.

How do rides like Dumbo and Spaceship Earth even compare? They are completely different rides that fill completely different purposes. It's not even comparing apples to oranges... it's more like comparing apples to Rubik's Cubes.

There is nothing wrong with this. The problem is when the ranker/editor can't be objective and remove their personal needs from the process. Their rankings should include relativity that represent their success within their demos.

Why does everything have to be a conspiracy with you?

It's not a conspiracy IF you know the history of major ride closures at WDW, One of the reasons Horizon's was closed was 'low ridership' yeah it was low because the attraction had limited hours and went seasonal, 20K Leagues - that one TDO put Michael Eisner in one of the 'hangar queen' subs which had just about everything wrong with it.

Google for more examples but it's just the way TDO does business in the swamps.

I'd respect them more if they just came right out and said we are closing this ride because it's too expensive to operate / maintain or parts for ride vehicles no longer available commercially, But no for decades it's ALWAYS been closing because of 'guest feedback'. I

I'm not even a fan of this ride, As someone else said this is the only ride system which makes an Omnimover seem like a thrill ride. But It's somebodies favorite so ill defend it.

The list uses an image of Disneyland's Space Mountain. Also, how often do the collective masses agree with the opinions on lists like this?

That would be great! One whole section could be where the vehicle passes through a tunnel of just green screen. ;)
Blue sky here, but imagine this green screen tunnel (maybe where Casablanca/Fantasia is now) showing the actors walking in costume before CGI (Beast from BATB, CLU from TRON: Legacy, or even just the airport scene from Civil War) and then the room slowly morphs into the final version. I imagine it would take up the entire room, even the ceiling. Imagine how cool that would be!

I found some parts of Ellen funny, and I've never been on Stitch (my sister says the restraints could be bad for my arthritis), but for them to compare the park's flagship ride to something widely hated? That's terrible! About the only bad part of the ride for me are the fake guns! (I have a fear of guns).
