Great Movie Ride Cowboy Scene?

I saw the western piece on my last trip. I'm such a westerns fan. Can't get enough of western movies & old shows. Psyched that Lone Ranger is coming out. I enjoy going through the western area of the GMR to view the Duke and Clint and look for all the references to the old westerns placed around the town buildings.

I have seen the cowboy scene only once. The rest of the time it was Muggsy and the gang.
We also kept getting the Muggsy scene. I read that you can ask for the bandit scene, and that's what we did. We do it every time they are running both vehicles with passengers. On early morning days, they don't usually run the bandit scene. Both vehicles go through, but the first car only had the cm. We got stuck in the tarzan scene once. It was not fun hearing that Tarzan yell for 15 minutes. When we got stuck in the scene where the cm comes back, we were stuck so long the cm told us we could take flash shots if we wanted. He also told every joke he knew. He finally gave up and sat down.

They don't. The Western show typically doesn't start until after 10am

We had ridden twice in a row and got the gangster scene twice. So after a break, on our third go we specifically asked the CM for the western scene. After about a 10 or 15 minute wait, we were put on a car for that scene. It was a refreshing change of pace!

They use both of them. You're more likely to get the gangster scene but you could ask/request the cowboy one if it's running probably. I personally prefer the gangster one!

I've seen the Cowboy scene before but not this trip. This trip, they sent an empty car into the cowboy scene, which I don't understand because the queue was at 30 minutes the one day. There were enough people to fill both cars but ... nope.
Obviously the Cowboy scene costs a few more dollars to run because of the fire.
Oh, and the munchkin that comes out of the floor didn't work on our first visit, but then worked the second time we rode.

It might have been having issues with operation that day and instead of shutting the whole attraction down, they just didn't fill the cars that would normally go to it.

There are multiple reasons why it would have been empty (the vehicles are not sent empty for no reason)

Thought I'd like to share this little perk-story from my trip a few weeks ago since all the discussions on this attraction are going on!

So I specifically asked a cast member for the cowboy scene!..... WE GOT IT!! I had never seen it before! It basically felt the same concept except for the big fire explosion and bad southern acting from the cast member! But... It was so awesome! Especially since I got to take 4 first-timer friends on it! :)
