Graduation Celebration: HOT days, fun times, and plenty of food

I have only been home for 20 hours, and I am already missing the most magical place on earth, ESPECIALLY the weather. When I left Florida it was 95, and now I'm stuck with a high of 67. What's with mother nature? Anyway, I had an awesome 10 days at WDW, and I am excited to share my vacation with the wdwmagic family!

WARNING: There may be some grammar mistakes in this report. I am a very fast typer, and I sometimes skip words or make spelling mistakes. I'm only human. Also, I am no Tom Bricker (WDWFigment), which means my photos aren't fantastic, but I try.

After 5 months of planning, June 11th was finally here. I was supposed to wake up at 4:30 am, but I hit the snooze which caused me to sleep in till 5:30. After getting all of our stuff together, we hit the road. Goodbye boring/cold Illinois! Hello warm/tropical Florida!

At 6 am, we hit the road. Because everyone in our group has their license, we were all able to take turns driving. And guess who drove first? The one who has the least experience driving! My 16 year old sister, Jodi. I will admit, she is a pretty decent driver, but she scares me sometimes. With that said, my mom watched her very closely. She drove about 5 hours. Then, my mom took over until the middle of Tennessee.

Hello Nashville! Sadly, I fell asleep, and was not able to take a picture of "Welcome to Tennessee!".

After driving through Kentucky and a little bit of Tennessee, my mom needed to rest her back, so I took over. I have a fear of driving in the mountains, and I was a tad freaked out about driving through them. Even though there not that bad, the mountains still freak me out. My mom talked me through, and I successfully drove through them. Phew! That was a relief.

Hello Atlanta! Katie took the picture because I was driving. Yes, I missed the Georgia welcome sign, but I was driving.

After Atlanta, I got tired, so my mom took over. We made it to the border of Georgia at about 11:00. We decided to stay in a hotel for the night. We made our exit in Valdosta, GA. Finding a hotel was a NIGHTMARE. Every hotel was booked because Lady Antebellum was in town for a concert. WOW, we would choose to stay in a town with every hotel booked. It was insane! We were so desperate we even tried staying in this crack motel...

HA! You gotta love the name. Unfortunately, they were booked, but the guy offered that we could stay downstairs... Oh my gosh. I don't even want to know what goes on downstairs. So we got the heck away from that place. Luckily, the sleep inn had one room left. It was a "suite" with a whirlpool. Woohoo! How fancy! You should have seen this place. It was no suite. Jodi and Katie were forced to sleep on the pull out couch, but they survived.

Get ready - I was like, 3 days behind and I have a page of notes to comment on.

First off, you guys looked EXCELLENT at Cali Grill! I looooved the bottom of your dress and Katie's! Yo sistaaa looked great too, obv. Her bracelets remind me of the ones I make when I'm wasting my time at work (craft fair next weekend hollaaa).

The kitchen sink pictures.. wowza. I want to try it SO BAD - I've presented it as a a challenge to my boyfriend (it's another reason to go to Disney, right?). You guys don't look like you got through too much of it.. I'm dying for ice cream, FYI.

Dyyying laughing at your story about Jodi in the pool with the fake-boy excuses. "It just annoys me".. I feel the same way! My sis is 17 now, and she looks older than I do and it's a little unnerving - but randoms coming up to her? NOT okay. Sadly, I'm not big or scary enough to prevent it. Darn.

Siiiiiick seats for Illuminations! I've never heard of asking for tickets to those areas - definitely going to check it out next time. I love the multicolored firework picture - actually, all your pictures turned out really well, the colour is great!

My friend La is terrified of dinosaurs too. Consequently, I usually need to make a deal with her about riding (she doesn't have to ride BTMM if she rides Dinosaur). I will take this moment to say that Katie has some nice headbands - so jealous of people that can headband + ponytails and good to go. Sigh.

I'm embarrassed to say that I've re-deodorized in the gift shop of Everest.. as have my crew of friends on our May trip. It was a stick, and we were subtle, if that helps?

The pictures of Pop and all the other resorts are great! Also, animal print on the girls at Boma? Love it.

Your balloon and I'm On A Boat pictures were key. That balloon pictures is a beaut - definitely profile picture worthy!

And lastly: I HAVE THAT DOONEY! I've been using it a lot lately to figure out how to make it the most useful on our trip.. I wish more fit in it! I need to pare everything down, it's getting tricky.. but the pattern, colour, and style are amaaaazing.

Thank you! I loved all of our dresses. Jodi is obsessed with her bracelets. We used to make them all the time. Then we got lazy...:lol: Are you selling bracelets or buying them? They have great deals at craft fairs for that kind of stuff.

DO IT! It's so worth it, even though you might not be able to finish the whole thing. The experience is well worth 27 bucks. All this ice cream talk is making me hungry!:slurp:

Haha I'm so glad people can relate with me! Like seriously? I was really getting irritated with the random guys checking her out or hitting on her. Haha Jodi gets so mad at me when I say stuff. Ahh what can I do? I just don't want any creeps approaching her. I'm with you on not saying anything. I say stuff when the guys leave, so maybe they hear me when they walk away?:lol:

Our illuminations seats were awesomeeeee! You should definitely try to get seats there. Thank you!

Haha! I love that she is given a choice. I would totally choose Dinosaur. I love Katies headbands as well. She usually gets them from Forever 21. I'm totally with you on the ponytail thing. I can't leave my hair up for more than a couple of hours without getting a migraine because my hair is heavy (if that makes sense).

That's totally fine! I just didn't like how it was spray deodorant and getting in my face and all. But I am totally cool with rub on!

Thank you! Yep, Jodi and Katie planned on wearing animal print for Boma. They got so many comments on their outfits. Sadly, I don't own any cute animal print tops...

YES! I love that purse! It is hands down one of my favorites! I can understand that it doesn't hold much, but the compartments help. Hopefully you will be able to figure out ways to put a lot of stuff in it. I had to carry my camera in a separate bag because my dooney was way too small for that big thing.:lol:

how can a guy be a creep by talking to her? Does she wear a big sign saying 'hi, I'm only 16'?

16 - 18 is not a big deal.. that's what sophomore and senior in HS? even in HS politics that's not a big stretch.

It takes two to tango...

Great trip report! Finally finished you ending posts! And love the picture of you and your balloon and how you finally got to get one :)

And you know I never noticed all those flags on the tops of Main Street buildings until you just said something haha

Also, crossing my fingers for ya for a trip in Dec! Disney is so beautiful at Christmas time!

BTW just have to say Jessica is the best name I think :animwink: (It's mine as well :D) And good luck with all the moving out for college!

When I used the word "creep", I did not mean for it to be taken seriously. Anybody who "hits on" my sister is a "creep" to me. That's how I am. I'm just overprotective...

Ewwww blackhawks :hammer: Dont forget we also got the red sox patriots and celtics championship shirts to wear. Living in titletown is tough to keep up with all the new shirts we have to keep buying :ROFLOL:

Hello! Haha this report is an oldie but a goodie. I almost think it's the best and my favorite one. We'll have to see how the other one does. Thanks for reading!
