Uhhh... have you all forgotten VIP Tours?

With a VIP Tour, you can buy your way to the front of the more popular, or, in some cases, any ride in WDW as if you had unlimited FPs.

Look into it. Been happening for years.

This is just a do-it-yourself form of getting to the front of the line as if you were on a VIP Tour.

This makes me sad. We can barely afford to stay at a Value hotel but now, if you pay $1000 a night for a club level room at a deluxe hotel, you can scoop up all the good fastpasses before us poor folk even get a chance  And what, should we just watch the night time shows from the parking lot? Perhaps they should just tape off different locations based on how much money each family has.

I can't for the life of me understand why this isn't offered to everyone? Makes no sense.

It just seems so...gross...that the chance to purchase - key word here - extra fast passes is only offered to Club Level guests.
This is a pilot, a test. Need to start with a small test group and build from there.

I genuinely don't see this as the same, at all. It's a completely different service, and quite frankly, a VIP tour doesn't have an obvious kick on effect. ie...paid FP for all.

If this has a negligible impact because of how few people use it it doesn't bother me too much it's a shame more change is near inevitable..

Hey, for $5 per hour per family, I will stand in any ride line to secure a spot for your family! That's right! instead of paying 50 for yourself, or 200 for your family to be able to ride more than three rides per park, pay ME just $5 (that's like, the price of one water bottle at wdw!!) per hour and get Premium FP experience! Not even standing in line is necessary with my premium, affordable services!

(For an additional $5 per hour I will also stand by your resort door to tell disney staff to off when they try to get into your room when you dont want them to!)

People with that kind of money can shut you out of rides if they all booked VIP Tours. Which they don't, because the number with that kind of money is a small blip in the tens of thousands that show up every day.

Not all upcharge events catering to a select few become available to everyone. This seems geared to encourage people to pay extra for club level rooms than a test to make these $50 FPs available to every guest.

I don't know what you mean by "obvious kick on effect."

So wait... You want me to pay more so I can get on the rides I should be able to already, if the parks weren't so overcrowded? A situation you've allowed to happen and can entirely control? Yeah, no.

The only option to fight overcrowding is to (greatly) increase ticket prices. Do you want that instead?

Charging for FP is the kick on effect. Once this test is integrated successfully, why would they stop here? Can you think of one possible reason why they wouldn't expand this program to all DVC guests? Deluxe resort guests? Eventually all resort guests?

My point is, this is already in effect through the VIP Tours. Skip the club level room and take a Tour and you can skip more lines for less money.

This seems more like a way to encourage people to get a club-level room than a test to make this available to everyone.

I am thinking about this option for my anniversary trip. I think the best part is the nightly show. I only want to know do I have to select it 60 to 90 days out or can I just show up at the right time. This is a definite do if I can just show up the night of the show. I am also interested in all the benefits of paying extra for the club at Copper Creek.

It is not the only option. Adequate capacity in line with industry standards would reduce overcrowding. Not operating to increase/maintain overcrowding would provide relief from crowding, at least at some times.

One very expensive, special program is not the same as every offering being split into varies monetized levels.

I don't know. Everyone is assuming this is going to have a huge affect on FP availability. It might, it might not. I'm not going to let myself get upset about it. I doubt we'll use it but I like that the option is there. I'm just going to wait and see how it plays out.

You're going to explain what you mean better than this. What exactly is 'adequate capacity in line'? Are you saying they should close lines when they reach a certain number of people in them?
