Here's the flaw in that argument - we had a confirmed reservation for a GV during the 2017 Marathon, what we got was 3 rooms in the GF. Not the experience we booked.

So what's a DVC reservation 'worth' if CRO can sell your reservation for more during a popular event.

Yes yes aware of DVC may move you to an 'equivalent' in the event room is not available but as a business traveller equivalent means equal or better class of room. Not an 'equivalent number of beds'

On checking some of the other DVC sites it seems that our experience was not unique and began to happen mid. 2016.

That was the last straw for us and we sold DVC after our last rental contract was fulfilled because as you say its become a numbers game and its going to get worse as time wears on.

Honestly...this is the first I've ever heard of anything close to this with the exception of a maintenance overide.

The systems are firewalled from each other for accounting purposes and can't be used like a piggybank in that fashion easily. It's not nearly that simple.

I'm not saying it is impossible to conceive - I wouldn't discount anything - but based on your angst level, you're gonna need backup on this.

Why would you be traveling on marathon weekend to the grand Floridian anyway?? For someone who appears to be tired of how they run things...that weekend is awful in so many ways. I'm confused.

I'm just not one to put much stock in hearsay. I don't get the point in jumping in a convo and calling someone a liar, with no other backup. Perhaps I fail to recognize your "status" as ultimate word on who is believable. Its hard to tell who is sitting on a throne when you are on a message board.....
