Got my very 1st Pin Code in mail, now I have a dilemma!

Received my very 1st pin code in the mail. :sohappy: I have a dilemma now. When we got married in Disney in March, they gave us AP passes as a wedding gift for having our wedding there. The pin code is for free dining during our christmas trip in December (13-20). We would have to purchase a 1 day ticket to get the free dining. Would it be cheaper to get free dining or the room discount with our AP pass. Either way we are getting the dining plan free or not. What would be my best option? :shrug:

If there are AP discounts and you're staying in Mod or Deluxe, that will be cheaper. Value I think it depends on the discount. I'd use the PIN now and watch for discounts and if they work out cheaper you can switch. The one-day tickets can be used toward AP renewal or just upgraded your next trip.

We are staying at POFQ. Never have stayed at a value, always a moderate. We have until October 3rd to book for the free dining. Hopefully by then the AP rates will be out for December.:shrug: Fingers crossed.

With just two of you in a mod, it would be very close. If it was just two of you in a deluxe, the discounted room would be cheaper. You are saving $80 a day for free dining, so if you save more than $80 a night on the room, that's the better deal.

Monty gives great advice, book the pin code now, and compare the deals if and when something comes out.

If you get the 1 day ticket, you can save it and upgrade the ticket later. I think free dining is the better deal but I don't know what kind of room discount you are getting with your AP passes. :wave:
